| Gum on her paw :( Poor Chloe! Somehow a piece of chewed gum (yuck) must have found its way to the floor. Maybe a garbage can tipped and someone wasn't careful I have no idea. I was laying in bed and I could feel Chloe chewing and tugging on something. I got up turned on the light to see what the little monkey had and there was gum all over her paw So out came the little scissors with a veggie oil finish and thankfully without too much loss of hair she is gum free. I never thought that a piece of chewed gum would be loose in the house! Never a dull moment thats for sure.

| Whatever is lying around you can be sure a yorkie will find it ! My two constantly find paper tissues even when I have just cleaned and there should be nothing there. They then tear it into tiny pieces and scatter it like confetti with me chasing them round the furniture trying to prise it from their needle sharp teeth.... Oh the j

| I am not sure if you are aware, but sugarfree chewing gum that contains xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs. Xylitol: Common Sugar Substitute Xylitol Can Be Deadly for Pets I know a lot of pet owners aren't aware of this. I work with a girl who didn't know and her kids left some gum laying on a table and her little chi got into it. It was too late by the time they realized she was sick. The vet did all he could but he wasn't able to save her. It was devestating to her and her children. I banned all gum from my house. Glad you were able to get the gum out of her paw...these little guys keep us on our toes, that is for sure

| Well, hopefully whatever was in the gum was all chewed up by the time it got on your little one's paw. It sure is true that they get a hold of things you never intended them to have. |

| Lol I think gum would be an easy one. Lola (may she RIP) one time got into a sticky spider trap lol. It took me over an hour of soaking her full coat and paw pads in warm soapy water and carefully prying it off to get her took care of.

So its good to make sure everyone is aware of this so thanks again

| I had a gum situation here about a month ago with Piccolo. It was all over her beard and I tearfully cut it out. Then, I took her to the ER because it was sugarless gum. What I did not realize was that since it was not Xylitol, it was not dangerous. 80 dollars later, but still I would rather be safe than sorry.
