Yorkie Talker | Sofa Covers for Couch accidents? I have four yorkies, two of which can get on the couch. I have a few throws which I keep on the couch. However, sometimes our new male will urinate on the couch. (He doesn't do it often) I don't want to crate him since the others aren't. I was thinking of buying a waterproof sofa cover that will cover the arms and back of the couch as well. (Would also help if someone decides to throw up suddenly.) The only one I have seen that is also waterproof is: Waterproof FurFighter Couch Cover | Dog Couch Covers | Dog Couch & Sofa Covers from FetchDog However, it is nearly $200 a pop. Now if there is no alternative I'll get it since I don't want my leather couches to get ruined. Does anyone know of anything similar that might be lower in price? |

| There is the Petrider waterproof type coverings for cars and they are very cheap. It might take two to include whole length of couch but until he is trained not to do that, that should work. Won't look good but should do the job.

| You could also buy a waterproof mattress cover (the non-crunchy kind) and remove the part that wraps around the side/edges of the mattress, then sew up the ends, tuck into the cushions and cover with a blankie or something more attractive. I tuck an inexpensive, but really nice, soft velourish blankie into our couch cushions where the boys hang out. That allows me to wash it frequently and keep things smelling fresh.

| You can go to any car detailer and ask about perma plate system for leather and treat your couch with it-I do.
