So our Dex is 7 1/2 months old. Been Neutered. We have been feeding him 3 times a day. About 3/4 cup of dry food for the day. He really looks for his meals and barks at us when he thinks it's time. I don't think stopping the lunch meal will work for us?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you want to just feed him twice a day?

Hi , i don't think it will hurt to continue feeding him
3 times a day
if he is doing well and he is healthy.

Abby is about the same age (july 18). She weighs about 5 1/2 lbs and had recently cut herself down to twice a day (2/3 c total).She wasn't eating that lunch time meal so I fed her dinner at 3 pm and snack if she wanted at 8 pm and then slowly pushed it forward, we are at 8 am & 4:30 now - no snack.
Maybe he is still growing? Abby has really slowed down.

We give Molly one cup a day. We set it out in the mornng but she usually only eats after her evening outside potty time.

My son's Sheltie was the same way. He had to do his " business " first before eating. I guess Molly is the same.

As long as he doesn't start putting on weight continue to feed him his lunch. You might be able to cut the size of it a little. If he is hungry and isn't overweight he might need more food anyway.

you can take the whole recomended ammount for your puppy for the day and divided in three equal feedings.
