| PetPlan Health Insurance - How Does It Compare? For those that have PetPlan Insurance, I'm wondering what your experience has been (good or bad) with them. Would you recommend them? Their coverage looks good but I just wanted to know how difficult they are about reimbursements. If you are with another insurer that has been great (or not so great), please feel free to share as well. |

| Hi there, actually i just enrolled oscar in pet plan recently so i have no experience with the reimbursement part of it but i do think that that the coverage is excellent considering that a lot of insurances i looked at did not cover chronic or genetic conditions. The costomer service is good too. |

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...rifaj-dvm.html the above link is a great read comparing the top 3 pet insurance companies, if you haven't already read through it.... thank you for posting this. i look forward to hearing what others have to say as well. after researching, i have decided that petplan seems to be the best available. i am considering getting it for my pixie and would love to hear some personal experiences with it. over the next couple of days i have to go to our vet's office to get zowi's meds refilled and i plan on asking my girls doc about it too. i do know that they give a 5% discount for ordering online and if your pet is microchipped they also give a 10% discount for that. both can be combined for a 15% discount. the premium is said to go up 5% each year due to your pet's age.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have PP and I really love it. They've covered what the policy says they'll cover. I've really been pleased.

PetPlan seems to win out on paper, so I want to also get some feedback from policy holders' experience. | |

| My personal experience with them is that they are very good. They pay everything that they say they will, as long as the proper documentation is sent to them. Payment by check within about ten days.. Rylee has had an ongoing bladder problem. They have paid several hundred in tests so far without questioning. My guess is some people may not read the fine print, so they don't realize what is not covered.

| I just posted about Pet Plan in another thread today, but I love it! Their documents are easy to understand and fill out and they pay what they say they will as long as you get the proper paperwork sent in. I had an issue with Riot getting very sick and needing two emergency visits, blood work, x-rays, a 4 day stay at the vet, the whole shebang and they reimbursed everything they were supposed to in less than two weeks.
