BANNED! | New to the Yorkie world. I just bought a 5 year old male yorkie, Max. I feel that he was not properly cared for and I feel that He has some issues. I was told that he is breedable and that he was house broken. She lied. His little hair was all matted up and he looks so unhappy. I have had him for three days now and he seems to be acting so much better. I think with a lot of love and attention, he will be just fine. |

| Thats awesome that you were able to rescue him. Have you taken him to the vet yet to make sure all is well? |

| Welcome to YT. Congrats on your lil guy. Have a vet check done and you'll probably want to have him neutered asap to keep him healthy in his old age. That will also help with some issues you may be experiencing. When you say "breedable", do you mean you were planning on breeding him?

| A narrow-tooth metal comb and hold the tangles between your fingers while gently pulling them out with the comb. If he is badly matted, you may have to shave him or use a razor to cut some out. You can use baby detangler to help. I think I've heard that corn starch will help, too.
