| Thank Goodness niether of mine have been sick or had any health issues. Roscoe use to get car sick but stopped after I realized he cant look out the window on the highway because the high speeds give him motion sickness because has to see everything LOL! He also has two retained baby teeth but thats nothing really.

| While Oz is still just a puppy at 10 months old, he's in perfect health, weighing 5.5 lbs right now. He's so strong and agile that the groomers always comment that if all yorkies were like him they would go out and get one right away. His teeth are beautiful, and all his baby teeth came out on their own. He was neutered and recovered in a really short period of time. Great temperament, loving and strong... that's our Oz-man!

| Just wondering since my yorkie has a undiagnosed health issue, what does LP stand for and what are the symptoms? I was also wondering the same thing. I would love to get another yorkie. Ive always had two dogs and this is the first time Ive had one and I feel like she is lonely. Im used to big dogs and have never had issues with their health. My little girl has so many health issues (undiagnosed vomiting that has been going since the first week of December) and Im scared to get another yorkie now. Thanks. |

YT 1000 Club Member | My first Yorkie was bought from a broker and she had pancreatitis, and temperament issues. my current yorkies are all healthy and thankfully no major issues other than the occasional upset tummy.

| My last yorkie, Chelsea, was diagnosed with CT at about 1 1/2 to 2 years of age. She lived until she was 11 and it wasn't until the last few months that it affected the quality of her life. My current yorkie, ZoE, is just over a year old and has no problems so far (knock on wood!).

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Yes, and I just want to add that it can either be genetic or due to an injury. That’s why it's good to teach your small dogs to use steps when going on or off furniture. I’ve heard that if it’s in more than one leg, it’s probably genetic, and if it’s just in one leg, it’s possible that it’s due to an injury.

| Yikes...I didn't mean to make anyone feel like I was jinxing them. I just love seeing healthy happy Yorkie posts. I don't mind when someone posts about their Yorkie being sick or injured in some way, because it gives me (and others) the opportunity to pray for them and help with suggestions on what may or may not be the cause. However, it really is refreshing to see that there are healthy Yorkies with no health issues on the board, too! =] |

| Sophie Kate has been healthy since August when she had Pancreatits. She also has a slight CT but that was caught on her first visit to the vet and is control through her lifestyle. I will credit Yorkie Talk with a lot of the skills I do have for keeping her healthy. When I first got her I read a lot of posts on followed good advice. That along with a Vet I know and trust helps me keep her happy and healthy.
