| The things I love to chew on! My Mommy is constantly pulling things from my mouth, when she can catch me! I scamper very fast! I love to chew on...hmmmmm, lets see....carpet, magazines, my Buddy Belt (Mommy was NOT happy about that!), socks, I have two teenagers that live with me, I love their boxers (Mommy thinks that pretty gross!) my Daddy has a wood shop! Chunks of woods, I loves them! Did I say socks? Heheheheheee, door frame molding, leaves, plastic wrappers....just to name a few! But my Mommy is always there to pull them out of my mouth and ruin my fun!! She gives me a Bully Stick everyday, I think maybe she owns stock in the Company! Oooh and me loves a good slipper, my Mommy relented and gave me hers and she fot a brand new pair...can't wait to get my teeth on them!! Heheheheheheheeeeee What do you like to chew on? i may get bored and need some new ideas!! Sunny In all seriousness....Sunny is a puppy, so chewing and putting everything in her mouth is par for the course, she sure does keep me on my toes! ~Bobbi~

| My boys have gotten better with the chewing as they are aging (they are 6 years old now) but boy did they give me a run for my money in the puppy years! To this day they still eat any underwear they find, very annoying! They ate clothes, all kinds of clothes, pants, shirts, bras, underwear, socks.... weirdos! They ate everything wood, the wood frame around the sliding glass door, the bottom of the cabinets, the molding on the bottom of the walls. They ate laptop cords, shoes, lots & lots of shoes! They ate like 4 doggy beds, at least 4 harnesses each, a few retractable leashes. This mommy spent a lot of time running around after them, taking things away or trying to stop them from chewing! Every time I think I want a new pup someday, I think about the puppy days.... yikes!

| I had a puppy, chew into a tube of superglue, got it out my purse on the floor, it stuck on his lips and teeth, he did not ingest it so it was funny to see him deal with it stuck on his teeth and lips/ Another one my dogs chewed the tassel right off a party guests loafer while he was wearing them! did not notice it until someone saw the tassel laying on the floor. Lola's nick name is sparky, she chewed through a lamp cord that is plugged into the floor under the couch, the lamp was not on but she was shocked enough that she smelled funny and screamed loud, it also shorted out the lamp. After quickly doing an internet search I read that there can be delayed reactions, so we took her to the ER vet, she was fine, the next day I blocked all the outlets that had stuff plugged in to them with pillows and large plastic containers and lids. She also likes to chew anything that lands on the floor such as eye glasses, pens, fabric softener sheets, etc On a really serious note I have had two friends that had dogs almost die this summer from chewing and then eating something bad. Yellow Lab got into guerilla glue ate almost the whole tube. This type of glue swells up and apparently tastes good to dogs. The glue was on the kitchen counter, dog got up on his hind legs, to get it off. The lab was not quite 2 years old, she required extensive surgery as the glue was attached to a lot of different organs. The dog required about 40 stitches because she had to be cut open almost from her neck to her groin. The other was a Cav. King Charles, she ate a maxi pad and needed surgery as well. It is amazing what dogs will eat and chew. |

Ummmmm, for me ONE Yorkie is enough! Granted there are three other pooches in the house, but even if those three weren't here, ONE Yorkie would be enough. I love Sunny to pieces, but there are times when I really want to say to her, "Really, I mean seriously, Really?" Someday I hope she will enlighten me! Lol Bobbi

| Aaaah yes, dryer sheets, Sunny loves those little boogers too! We had a Lab, notorious chewers, right up there with a Yorkie, I believe. Our Sam always ate A SHOE, not both, just ONE! Ticked us off, eat one move on to the next shoe...she had a taste for exspensive shoes too! Ate a garden hoe, that required surgery.....ahhhhh pups, gotta love them!! | I call Jimmy my little Hoover...his nose is ALWAYS on the floor or ground and finds anything and everything! He loves to dig at the cement cracks to get out small pieces of cement. He loves to grab much out of the garden and potting soil chunks out of a pot I have with no plants. He loves to take the babies off the spider plant. He somehow finds cigarette butts in the yard that the previous home owner tossed out there even though I swear I have found them all. Underwear and socks can be found in the strangest spots in the house. And so on. If it's on the floor it's in his mouth

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Tee hee! Katie Scarlett loves to chew too! She is getting better though at knowing what she can and can't chew. I caught her chewing on the moulding on the wall once and she hasn't done that again. I only had to tell her 'no no' once...thank goodness. But she adores socks, bras, underwear, pajamas. Anything I leave on the floor is fair game and I have to go running after it. She also adores our towels after we dry off from a shower???? I usually just give in and let her have her fun. She loves to pull the socks off Daddy's feet. She had a thing for our toes, but I bought her a plastic human foot looking toy and it is her favorite! She plays with it all the time. Of course she likes bully sticks too. Oh, and we are trying to break her of chewing on the pillows on the couch. LOL. That is a work in progress.

| Ugh Geno chews on everything. He gets anxiety when I go to work so he tends to tear up my living room. I came home last night to a ripped up Christmas card from one of my friends and little pieces of stuffing scattered all over the floor. My drink coasters were also flung all over the room. Today I put the cards and the coasters away. I examined his bed but I cannot find where this stuffing is coming from so I have a feeling I'll find more when I get home. Last night, i put away all my bills in this big accordian folder organizer that I have. I keep it by my safe on the floor. Well Geno realized what was in there from me putting stuff away so he decided he wanted some. He got into it while I was in the shower and snatched out 2 of my Gas bills and hid them under the bed to chew up. Came out of the shower to hear crinkling from the window on the envelope and I just knew he was up to no good. Took me an hour to grab all the pieces out from under the bed which is a feat cause my bed sits incredibly low to the ground so i have to go go gadget arms and legs to grab things. I just sit there and tell him, "pschhh could ya not!" And he always knows he has something he shouldn't cause usually he'll cuddle up to me with a toy to chew, but when he has something he shouldn't, he avoids me completely and scurries around all over the place. I have to entice him with a treat to get him to drop it.

| So far my worst two expiriences were: 1) Lola chewing through the internet box power wire (imagine her daddies surprise when all of a sudden it didn't work ) Her Daddy had to go out and buy a new one and was told by the sales man it is very common because the coating on the wire tastes very sweet to them. 2) Coming home to what looked like a smurph exploded in our living room! Kiwi had somehow managed to get hold of a blue sponge and had torn it apart, into a million little pieces!! They were all stuck in our shag carpet!! I found pieces of that sponge for weeks!! So far Milo has not gotten into anything crazy, but I'm sure he will have his day, maybe today when I get home from work because I just posted that comment

| Levi loves to chew...but he really only chews his toys. Or stray socks. He loves a good sock. Nylabones are definitely his favorite chew toy, unless I give him something like a bully stick or himalayan chew, which is rare. Other than socks, he really hasn't destroyed any of my things by chewing.

| Chloe and Teddy LOVE to chew paper and plastic when they get in one of their moods. If we both worked late the day prior, the next day they will attack. The pic below is one of them having fun with a box of tissues while I was in the shower. Normally they prefer the braided rawhide / pig hide large dog chews. I have tried just about everything other than rawhide for them to chew on safely but neither will even touch them. Also if I don't get the large sized chews they won't touch them. I swear they are picky lil fur butts Chloe is my strange one who loves old water bottles. We take off the lids, labels, and plastic ring at the top and she will carry it around all day and occasionally chew on it. She only likes the big 1.5 liter bottles that are bigger than her! I think she likes the crinkly sound they make. |
