I just rescued a sweet yorkie yesterday and the reason the former owners gave for giving HER up was that she was marking in the house and she wasnt getting along with their PITBULL! Do females mark??? I never heard of a female doing that! She has a split ear where the other dog bit her and she has fresh wounds where she has been attacked by the other dog...any advise you can give would tremendously appreciated...TYSM

Aw poor sweet little girl! I know female cats can mark because I had one that did so I wouldnt be surprised hearing a female dog did.

my female does only outside after cedric pees she will pee like a boy...lift a leg while squatting to mark on top of his spot. i have never seen her do it inside...

Poor little thing. I know some folks think pitbulls get a rough break, but I just dont trust or like them. I can't imagine what they were thinking. The idiots should have gotten rid of the pitbull.

I certainly hope the pitt get's some serious training.

Yes, females do mark. My maltese marks and whats worse is that I have two alphas in the house. But no potential harm to each other. You should see them go outside. One marks and the other one marks behind and it goes around like that

If you are sure she is potty train then all the advise I can give is keep an eye on her. Big no-no when she marks and put her in her crate. It took a while but finally neither one of mine marks anymore.
