| Ear mites I just got back from taking Sally to the vet. She's been scratching her ears and I found out she has EAR MITES I have revolution to apply, and they told me to treat her in two weeks with milbemite. They also told me to treat Snoopy with milbemite just to make sure. He's on heartguard, so can't have revolution. I hate bugs! I need some moral support!

| Ouch, I'm sorry and I hope the medication works quickly for your baby. I don't like bugs either.

| We do battle with earmites here too. Sometimes they can be very difficult to get rid of.

and Bear too! ♥ Donating Member | Bear's ears smelled really bad and the vet tested him and said no mites but he had a yeast infection in them. He whinned and scratched them like crazy. He is on 10 days of Tresaderm drops. Good luck.

| If you have other animals you might want to have them treated at the same time even if they are not showing symptoms right now. Ear mites are very contagious. Animals pass them back and forth. It's pretty much inevitable. It's best to treat everyone and get it over with. |

| Earmites are soooooo contagious from pet to pet. Its like the headlice for dogs and cats. Definately treat all furbabys in your home or they will just pass it back and forth. You can do some reasearch but I dont think that earmites like people. Having furbabys really is alot like having people kids in your house. There is always something. |

| I have to call the vet tomorrow to get the milbemite for Snoopy. They were out of it but getting it in. Then in two weeks I'll treat them both again with the milbemite, and I have an appointment in three weeks to follow up. We vacuummed everything and washed the blankets that were in the living room. I hope that will do it.
