My 5 1 /2 month yorkie has fleas.............does anyone recommend a flea collar, medicine, or the like.....something to get rid of FLEAS???????

I use Advantage or the "other" one.....can't think of the name now. They are similar, and you put it right on the back of the neck. You have to buy it from the vet or online. Please do not ever use collars on Yorkies. They are predisposed to getting collapsed tracheas.

I used Avon's Skin So Soft last year on our dogs-Worked good for me, also there is euclaptis oil, which I got from a natural herb shop, you put a few drops in each corner of you house, there is an herb called pennywise, which you sprinkle on your carpets, wait a while and then vaccuum, I have also had a friend use dried peppermint and sprinkle on the carpet, wait a few and vaccuum. There is also one last thing I used that was the most expensive out of all of these and it was called home pest conrol in a red jug and we got it at our local Town And Country, $15.00. The herbs and oil cost me no more than $5.00 and You do get alot for your money. Hope this helps

I used that stuff from the vet that you put on the back of their neck fleas were gone within 6 hours it worked great!!!

I always use advantage too. I have never had a flea problem if i used it regularly. I didnt put it on for a month and my dog got fleas I put it on and it killed them.

Can you use Advantage along with Sentinel??? The Sentinel kills the flea eggs, but does not kill Adult Fleas. I need something that will kill the adult fleas....poor guy he is so itchy

I use Revolution on Aria. Seems to work great and I believe it prevents heartworm too. I think you can only buy it through the vet though...

It doesnt matter what i use or what i do.. Mason ALWAYS has atleast 1 flea..ive even done my house....

FLEAS SUCK!! I dont know why or how he always has them...i give him that topical stuff (cant think of the name) and than i give him a flea bath every week....

aggravating!!! Good luck though!!
