| VERY VERY Sad This morning while driving into work I noticed some lady was half in the lane I was in and half out with her door open and her trunk open. She was hobbling (she was handicapped) across the street carrying something very delicately. As I got closer to her I noticed it was limp cat. Everyone was honking and going around her. I rolled down my window and asked her if I could help her with anything. She looked at me with a sad blank stare and said no he's dead. He got ran over by a car and I can't leave him here. I asked again if I could do anything to help her and she started crying and said no he's dead. There's nothing more to do. Of course I then started bawling my eyes out. This poor lady must have been out looking for her cat and found him too late. She said when she passed him the first time he was twitching, by the time she turned around and got back to him he was gone. He was a big beautiful cat, looked very healthy and so loved. I felt so helpless and so sad for her. I couldn't imagine dealing with a scene like that. I need to vent... Thanks for listening.

| Oh no, this is so sad. That poor lady. I can't imagine the sadness and pain she must be feeling right now, losing her precious cat. But you were so kind to offer to help her. I hope she made it home okay.

| My friend called my yesterday to tell me a very similar story. She was on her way home and found a cat hit by a car. She went home for her husband to help and when they came back he had been hit again. They picked him up and were going to take him in for help but he was already gone. Very sad That was so kind of you to offer to help her. I just cannot imagine the heartbreak of finding your furry friend and family member that way.

| That poor lady. That was so nice of you to offer her help. I cannot imagine seeing my pet dead on the road, pullling over to get it, and then having rude ppl show no compassion for my loss. Shame on them.

| Thats so sad! So nice of you to stop and offer your help! Though it wont help bring her baby back, at least she knows that there was SOMEONE who cared enough to stop and at least offer to help! Karma always comes back.....Good or bad!

| What an awful awful thing to happen to that poor kitty and that poor lady. How terrible for her to come upon her little baby like that and then have to go get its little body off the pavement!!! I'm horrified for her! There is nothing I can do except pray for her. Thank you for stopping and offering aid. At least she knew someone cared.
