I know I have posted how much Mikki has changed in her appearance since we got her in July. But she has also changed so much in personality.

We have had some rough days since we got her. Sometimes she can be so skittish and scared. And would hid under my bed for hours. She would just shake. I never really have figured out why. But I think she goes under the bed for security.

Anyway, she loves her new daddy and has started to get really really excited when he comes home. More so than Rosie. I keep telling my DH that she likes her new home.

Mikki has always wanted to be held. It is a comfort thing for her I think. She would jump up on your leg and scratch until you picked her up.

And then today happened. I was in the kitchen and Mikki came up to me. Instead of scratching at my leg, she stared up at me and started wagging her tail.

It was the sweetest thing! I wouldn't pick her up until DH brought the camera. So I quickly took a picture of her staring up at me. I thought it was so adorable.

I know I know. Maybe I am being crazy but I think it was a huge leap for her. I think she loves her new mommy!

I think she is very happy that she is with us now. From July until now. Huge leaps and bounds!

I am so glad I got her.

You can see it in her eyes that she loves her mama. She looks like a totally different dog, her eyes, her coat & she really looks happy. She's such a pretty girl & looks so lively now.

I think you have all been so lucky you stopped at the gas station that day

, it sounds like you all have completed each other in some way.

Look at the improvement in this short of time, think of even a year from now.

Thanks! I guess I was being all mushy tonight.

She is curled up in her momma's lap right now sleeping. Rosie went to bed with daddy. So it is me and Mikki time. I just can't imagine anyone not wanting to take care of her and love her. She is such a sweet loving little thing. I love how the silver is coming through on her hair too. I can't wait to see how she looks a year from now. She definitely stole our hearts.

Her color looks a lot like my sweet little Dolly she is 11 months and is 4#, Your little girl sure has came a long way she is so cute.

I don't think you are crazy at all! You are in-tune to your babies & there has been huge progress. Apparently, she just needed time to adjust & learn to trust & she has, so I would say that is VERY huge!

Congratulations & be proud as you should. I know you are so very excited. I don't blame you one bit. I am so happy for you.
