My dad has been doing this for years. So this spring I went with him. Took my daughter and she is hooked. Great way to enjoy the outdoors. And usually dog friendly. It's like a treasure hunt. Just wondering if anyone else enjoys this.

I have been before, but haven't recently. It would be a fun activity to do with kids/dogs!

Yes!! We love geocaching. We have several state badges and plan to get more, eventually all 48 states (not Alaska or Hawaii)

Do you mean geos as in the rocks? We used to look for geos and crack them open to see the crystals

We love to go geocaching. Pistol usually goes along, I have a baby sling that I carry him in when he gets tired.Sometimes if DH decides to go the bushwacking route Pistol and I will wait and play until he finds it. So much nature to share with our furbaby.

It really is fun I will give a brief description. They are objects that people hide. Can be as small as a pencil eraser ( the top) or as big as you want. Some just have a log in it. Others have toys and stuff to trade for. ( for children). You use a gps or I use my iPhone. On the site they give you cords to find the object.
It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and have fun. Took my two year old grand daughter the other day and she thought it was great fun. We have taken the dogs many times. Go to geocache .com the official page. It will tell you how to play and all you need to know.

So to the ones that do it what is the best one you have seen?

I have never done this, but the son of a good friend of mine does. Last year he and a couple of his friends found a dead body right by one of the coordinates they were searching for!

This looks like fun. They have some that are not to far from my home...hmmm..
