| Sickening!! HOUSTON - A startling photo with a warning for dog owners quickly made the rumor mill on Facebook over the weekend, hitting a peak by Monday morning. The photo shows pieces of cheese with nails inside them. The warning claims, "New trend at dog parks, nails in pieces of cheese, if you take your dogs to dog parks, please be careful!" So is it true? Well, yes and no. According to ThatsNonsense.com , an isolated incident of "nails-in-cheese" was reported by a Spanish language news website in July 2011. The report claims a dog walker in a dog park in Buenos Aires found the cheese with nails in a kennel. The news report has the same photo that is being passed around on Facebook. ThatsNonSense.com points out that there have been no similar reports of nail-spiked cheese in dog parks anywhere else in the world. Any dog expert will tell you, there are probably other things more common that owners should look out for at the park -- including the potential for disease and the occasional run-in with an unfriendly dog .
