| This crazy day has showed me I've done something right. What a crazy day today!!! Car in shop, flea treatments, near car accident once I got the car back, left check at work, had to go back, took work keys, had to go back and the power going out at 3a.m.-8 hours after a storm (that initially looked like a funnel cloud), rolled through. It woke me up when the fan went off & I could hear the fire doors shut in the main hall. Then the smoke detectors give the 'dead battery' beep every so often. I scramble for flashlights, candles, stay up so I don't miss work. Princess was literally on my heels. When I pick her up she is shaking soooo bad. Her face was so sad & scared. Well the good thing I've done is always wrap Princess in this blanket I bought her before she came when she's sick, shaking cold, scared, anything. About 30 seconds after I put it on her she stopped shaking & let me lay her on the couch. I left a few batt. tea lights by her & dd said she slept the whole time. Idk why I gave a dog a 'blankey' to begin with but I guess it worked...it worked for my dd, too. On a side note, I threw her winter coat on her (which I love) tonight & it can't even velcro! It barely goes down half her back! She's so much bigger than last year, I don't care, but I loved that coat. I got her a stuffed chicken in a bikini (w/boobies, lol) & she's since killed it. Maybe she's got a complex. :P

| Oh, my! Days like that are my worst nightmare. I'm glad she calmed down. All yorkies should have a "blankey". The unfortunate thing about buying them beautiful clothes and coats when they are babies is that they seem to grow just like children do. I teased one of mine over a stuffed chicken once and she was jealous. That was before Christmas one year. I couldn't find it for the longest time. Christmas Day we found it. She had tossed it over the presents into the corner to hide it.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Good thinking! Good moms always know the way to calm their kids. Now put that girl on a diet!

| Sounds like your awful day was a real doozie! Those come around all too often don't they? Glad the little one calmed down okay with her blankey! They are so much like humans in so many ways, aren't they?

| I think that I would check the calendar to make sure that it wasn't MONDAY,WOW. What a day you have had. Hope tomarrow is a better day. I wrap Mina in a blanket when she is upset as well. It always works. |
