Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Crate Cover? Question for you guys. Have any of you made your own crate cover or have it made? I'd like to make my own if I could so that I can choose the fabric of my choice. I'd like to add a little color. All that I've found to go with the crate we have purchased are basic black and brown. Any advice would be appreciated? Thanks everyone! Have a fabulous weekend!!!

| Hmmm, I'm thinking it wouldn't be to hard. Just use the crate itself and draw off a pattern. I would probably draw the side pattern, then the top pattern and the back panel pattern, then join them together. The just add the ties. Or you could make the side pattern panels and one long strip for the top and back section. I just looked at the one I have on Zhoie's crate, it's the 2 side pieces, a top piece and a back piece. All separate piece then joined together with cording. Good luck...you can do it

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Thank you guys! I did check out Etsy and Ebay after your suggestion and found lots of cute options, although they were a little pricier than I expected. But it's still an option. I am seriously considering making my own. I am not a big sewing person, but I think I might can do it. I am gonna give it a try and if it fails miserably, I'll admit defeat and use a blanket or order one. I'll be sure to share when I do...even if it's rough looking! LOL

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I made mine, it's really pretty easy. I just used the crate as the pattern, and added an inch here and there for seams and hems. The sides don't have to be connected clear to floor, but can be sewn just half way down. I really liked the way that looked instead of just a covered box.

| Isn't there a member that made the cutest crate cover for her yorkie girl? Maybe they have tips for you! I just wish I could remember who that was!
