Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Big Boy We took in a male Yorkie today who's family could no longer keep him. He is 6 yrs old and seems sweet so far. He was bought from a breeder and owned by the same people all his life till now. I have the AKC papers for him but I can't believe he's pure bred. He has the coloring but his fur is curly and his huge! He's 19 pounds!

| Congrats on your new little (BIG) boy! My grandparents' Yorkie was a purebred and had to be between 15 to 20 lbs with curly hair and semi-erect ears. We know he was purebred because we owned his parents who were 8lbs and ~10lbs.....

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I posted a long reply then the site said I wasn't logged in and I don't have time to type it all again. Thanks for your responses. Between the full moon, new dog and sinus headache it was an interesting night but we did get some sleep.

| 19 pounds! That is awesome!! My little teapot is just about 14 pounds. He also takes up a nice chunk of the bed. Do you have photos of him yet? I would love to see!

| What a stud!!! My biggest yorkie was 16 pounds and lived to a ripe age of 16.5 years. She was probably the healthiest yorkie I have ever seen! Congrats on your new fur-baby! He is lucky to have a new loving family. Can't wait to see a pic. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Thanks everyone! He still won't go potty unless I go out too. I think he has a bit of separation anxiety. So far he has done well in the house alone with my other Yorkie and cat. He does alot of things my 10# female Yorkie does only I worry he'll break something when he does it. lol My grand dog was here today, she is a Morkie all of 4.4#'s and she is a bit afraid of him. But he seemed to just want to sniff her out. I'll post photos when I get some, he needs a bath & grooming!
