| tangled... Why did duncan bark and scare away poor little squirrel who happened to managing carrying a avocado as big as the size of his/herself and was on the way home? I understand that Duncan wants to protect his and our territory, but it was just little squirrel who doesnt have some one to give him/her food, water, treat and toy...

| Cause it is in Duncan's DNA to do that. He's being a dog.

| May not be able to unless you really work at it. Just teach that like anything else. When he does what you don't want, say "uh oh", and turn around, going the other direction very fast AND with a big treat sticking it in front of him as you run forward, away from the squirrel. You will have to at first provide a very high-value treat to get your dog's natural excitement off the squirrel and all his smells and activity to that of running the other way toward that wonderful treat. You could try it without the treat but he will likely keep turning his head and you will have to really move to keep his attention off the squirrel without something big to distract him. You will have to repeat this alot and often with big praises and love when he redirects his attention.
