How does your baby tell you what he/she wants......

They are too smart sometimes.... If they want something, they figure out a way to let you know. I crack up at Charlie.
A cute thing Charlie will do is, if he runs out of water and gets thirsty before I notice, he will go into the bathroom, stand by the bathtub and bark. Then when I get in there I always realize right away, "oh shoot, he must be out of water." I love it that even though we can't speak the same language, we find ways to get our point across.

What are some of the things your babies do to let you know what they want. Just curious to hear.

If Princess potties appropriately, she'll kick her feet up over & over until I give her a treat.

If she runs out of water she'll do a low growl & dig at her bowl trying to tip it over. She'll stop & stare at me, sometimes I ignore her because it's so cute then she'll repeat it all until I get her some.

If I'm leaving or she thinks we should leave she'll fling her harness to me until I get the hint. Quite the bossy little lady.

Uni tells me things in the same way. She will come and stand next to me and stare at me. If I ignore her she will do the sneeze to get my attention. If I still ignore her, then she will do her loud bark. When I acknowledge her, I ask her what she wants and she will lead me to what she wants. If she needs to pee, she leads me to the door. If she wants to play, she leads me to her ball. If she wants to eat, she'll lead me to her bowl, even though it's not feeding time yet! LOL

Sugar is exactly the same! She starts out with a polite stare. Moves on to a quiet sneeze. Next comes a "nighttime bark". If I ignore that ~ all bets are off! She barks over and over and over and spins in circles until I accommodate her

All of these are cute! Yorkies are good communicators.

Max performs multiple sits for most things, like curtseys. If he wants food, he runs around with his Kong, drops it at my feet and does a dramatic sit. If I'm not paying attention, he will make a funny noise in his throat and sit.

Teddy spins to say "yes." If he wants to get my attention, he stands and taps my leg with his paw. I usually know what he wants depending on the look on his face and his body language.

sadie does this too. not as much a sneeze but a strange noise under her breath and then bark and then all hell breaks loose and she barks like mad at me until i finally give in and pay attention to her ways.

she also paces back and forth to the door and stares at me during her pacing to let me know she's gotta go and NOW! she's supposed to use the bell but when i ignore her thinking she's faking it she gets to pacing to let me know she's for real.

Bentley whines for food. he wakes up and whines in our faces until we get up and feed him. he also whines at night around an hour before dinner time and wants fed early then as well. he's so food demanding.

oh gosh i forgot about the sitting dramatically for a treat or something. If Sadie wants food that i'm eating or something i'm doing in the kitchen she will do those DRAMATIC sits with full force and oomph and expects that she gets what she wants for her perfect behavior.

LOL, yes! Max gives me that look like he is saying, "I'm sitttttting! I'm a good boy, gimme what I want." He will even wiggle his rear end on the floor and straighten his front paws to emphasize the point.

It is so funny how we can read them like a book. I'm sure they can read us the same way (except that she NEVER understands I can't play ball 24/7).

If I'm getting ready to leave whether she's coming or not (I tell her at the last second) I'll turn around & she'll be sitting pretty! How do you say no to that!? I finally taught her if I say "mama be back, you wait" she'll "listen" & step back. If I don't she'll bark & whine as I walk down the steps.

When say this ( Actually I say "Mommy's leaving. I'll be back. Kissy Mamma??") she will BREAK HER NECK rather than kiss me goodbye ~ but she waits for me at the threshold!

If Scooter wants to go for a walk he will go to where the leashes are hanging, find his and keep pulling at it till I come see what he is doing. When Sadie is ready for bed she sits up in the recliner, thats where she lays most of the time , and she will start to growl at me until I get off the computer and take her to bed. I love my babies

This is amazing. We say, Stay here, we'll be right back. She gives us the evil eye. Evil I say. When we come back, she looks up at us from her bed, like, Oh you guys. pfffft. <----That's her rolling her eyes. LOL We have to over the top greet her, or shake a bag like we got something for her, then she will get out of beg and give us a tail wag.

Kaji let's me know what he wants with a look and a whine. The whining is for when he's desperate. My brothers call me the yorkie translater. They don't know what he wants, but I do just by looking at him. I will admit I'm puzzled sometimes, so I go down the list, "do you have to go pee pee? Poopies? Are you hungry? Are you thirsty? Do you want to go outside?" he'll sit and do the yorkie head cock until I ask the right question. When I ask the right one, he gets up and whines. is his piddle pad is soiled, he seeks out a human, and leads them to it for a new one.
