Hello Hello i am owned by a 13yr old yorkie/jack and a yorkie puppy i have had my puppy for a week now, i'm not too sure of his age as the previous owners told me a different date to what was on his vet card when he had his jabs going by the vet card he is 6 months old he lost 2 baby front teeth yesterday he is nearly potty trained, we just have trouble with the last poop at night but yesterday he was a good boy and done it outside so i am hopefull he will keep up the good work. My boy's name are=yorkie cross-bramble =yorkie puppy-cody he is taking his nightly comb well now and just sleeps while mummy grooms him he is going off his breakfast feed the last couple of days and just eats his 5pm feed, maybe he just wants 1 meal aday is this normal as the dog gets older? thank you xx

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Congrats on your new puppy! How exciting. I'm sure he will bring you tons of joy. As for the appetite issue in the morning, I'd watch that closely and if his appetite is down, a trip to the vet would be needed. Loss of appetite in dogs is usually pretty concerning to vets.

Welcome! My baby is 6months old next week. I do find that some feedings she doesn't eat as much, but will eat something. Sometimes she wont eat her kibble, sometimes she eats kibble and wont eat wet food, sometimes she will inhale her treats and sometimes she turns her nose up at them. I still offer two meals a day and treats and just keep an eye on how much she eats total during the day. If your baby isnt eating at all or seems to be eating not enough, call your vet.

thank you for replies, he does eat alittle bit but not what i call a full meal he has treats during the day for his toilet training and by 5pm he'll eat quite a bit wet meat, i want to change him to dry food, but only had him a week so one thing at a time, does anyone know what good dry food i can feed here in the uk? he had his first time off the leash today, he done so well didn't run far and came straight back when called, the bigger dogs are a bit scary he thinks but grampa bramble looked after him i am really happy that bramble has got on so so well with cody as i have tried him with other dogs before and he would growl and bite etc, but cody has fitted right in and no problems at all

There is a dog food review online that is a good place to look. I feed Mina a little wet mixed with Wellness twice a day. This morning she was being a bit finicky so I sprinkled a tiny bit of parmessian cheese on and mixed that in too. When giving treats for training, remember to give a very tiny piece. I have a hard time remembering just how tiny Mina is and he tummy gets full then she doesn't want to eat dinner. I use slivers of baby carrot and fresh apple (no skin and no seeds).
