| Maisie is just back from her spay Everything went well, she is whimpering quite a lot, and quite sad. She also had baby teeth, and her back dew claws removed I noticed she must have gotten the anesthetic through her neck - her hair is shaved and she has blood on her neck. Her front paw is also bandaged from where something went in. What would these be for - is the neck normal?

| The neck is a common blood draw site. The leg is the IV spot. Is she on pain meds?

| she got pain meds with the sedative, and then more after the op. There are long lasting, but the nurse said if she seemed very uncomfortable tomorrow to bring her back for more, but generally they dont need it after the first day.

| Hope Maisie feels better soon. Maggie was in a little bit of pain the night of her spay. Once we gave her some pain meds, she quieted right down and layed down in her crate. The next morning she was much better, a little quiet but didn't need any more pain meds.

| Gizmo had his back dew claws removed because they curled. Please make sure they do not get infected. Gizmo never licked his bandages but they got infected some how or another. Also make sure you go in to get the bandages changed as directed by your vet. Poor Gizmo took over a month to heal from having his dew claws removed! It was such a nightmare! Praying for a quick recovery for your furbaby! |
