Yorkie Talker | Amy knows its Easter. I'll get around to posting pictures of Amy later on...need to make them into jpeg, or go through photobucket. Anyways, Amy wakes me up and is just OVERLY giddy so we go outside so she can go do her business. Well as soon as we walk inside shes upset, im sure it is because of the warm weather and she apparently wants to be an outside dog. Yet, the predicament is this: Whenever we go to the park (being Mt. Trashmore in vabeach or to the ocean) there is ALWAYS a little kid or just a huge amount of people that either try and chase her or just bug her. I tell the people around that she doesnt like new faces and is just skiddish around small children, but they never listen. Its becoming such a problem that I dread taking her on extended walks. I really dont know what to do! Should I buy another puppy so she can have a playmate? Or just hope I can find someone in the vabeach area with yorkies that she can socialize with? Any comments are helpful or even if you can relate with the same sort of problem. if this is in the wrong spot please just redirect it thx xD TLDR; just lost as to where and what i should do with amy when we go outside. Sadie and Amy<3

| If you could afford it, a male puppy would be awesome. A male opposed to a female so she is not dethroned and still the queen

| I agree if you can afford a new edition do so... If not plan a meet and greet with fellow YT members in your area. Might end up making a regular playdate friend. Goodluck!

| Another pup would be awesome! I'd also look for other YT members in your area, or other small dog play groups in general. Just make sure you take the play time slowly. I work at a doggie day camp and I see tons of people who just assume that since their dog likes one or two other dogs, they can plop them into a camp with 15 other dogs. Not saying you are!! But if your girl is a tad skittish around new faces, maybe start with one or two new friends first. Good luck!

Yorkie Talker | I just asked my husband if we could potentially get another puppy to keep "princess" Amy company and he actually agreed! I will also try and and get her a little face time with some friends who have smaller dogs (one at a time haha) and hopefully all will go back to normal! Would her behavior change or differ from what it is now if we bought another female dog? I've personally NEVER owned a male dog and I fell it would be a HUGE change for not only her, but me as well.
