| Dog Upset Since Babysitting Another Dog I have a 6 year old yorkie that I adopted 6 weeks ago. She is a lovable dog and follows me everywhere. I agreed to babysit someone else yorkie months ago and they brought the yorkie over 2 days ago. My dog does not like her and wants nothing to do with her. I correct her when she gets aggressive. I have since separated them. Now my yorkie wants nothing to do we me. I lay on the floor and she wont even come near me. Do you think this is a permanent problem or just while I'm babysitting the other dog? |

| I don't think it's permanent. You have your dog 6 weeks, so maybe she feels a little insecure with the other dog around. Maybe she's a little jealous? Maybe if you put the other dog in another room and just have some Mommy & Me time with your dog alone, she will come around. Good luck!! |

| I don't think it will be permanent either. A few weeks ago, I had another yorkie here with me for a week and my ZoE had a horrible time. Turned into a totally different dog. Once the other yorkie left, she was right back to her usual loving, secure self. Just keep giving her lots of extra love & reassurance during the time you're babysitting. The other pup needs extra loving too, as I'm sure it's stressful on the visiting pup as well. Best of luck

| When Matt found a little dog running around outside and brought it in a few months ago, Harley was not happy. I've had play dates at his house, but he really didn't like this dog. I had to keep them separated cause the lost doggy started to snap at Harley, After that harley ran past the gate taunting him until the we found the owner that night. In the future what I would do (and is my plan) is introduce them outside in the yard first, or a less territorial place.
