Back from Az and reunited with my babies - YorkieTalk.com Forums

We got back last night from 5 days in sunny, warm Arizona. Cali is still on her UTI infection medicine and doing well. Nikki did ok while we were gone but had a strange episode the night before we were to come home. My daughter called at 10:30 pm (Chicago time) and was scared because Nikki was thrashing around on the bed and wouldn't/couldn't listen to her. Then he snapped out of it and kept shaking his head back and forth real fast for 5 minutes. I calmed her down and all of a sudden he stopped and went to sleep. His vision seems to be worse than it was a week ago also. He has been ok since we got back but I am keeping a close eye on him. Bon Bon said her Alexander had a couple of the same episodes and the Anipyrl helped.Hopefully it will help Nikki as he continues the journey of aging. Other than that they all did well and we had a great welcome home last night.

Oh, poor Nikki...I used to lie in bed at night crying after watching Cricket have an "episode" as she was getting older and having issues. My heart goes out to you as you watch this little one have such issues. Hopefully, the meds will help!

Thanks. Bon Bon was so generous to offer Nikki Alexander's left over Anipyrl and he has been on it 5 days and is showing improvements. He is not getting confused as often and more awake. Hopefully, it will make his senior time easier. Thanks so much Bon Bon.

Oh Patti! I'm so happy to hear it's helping Nikki. The improvements you're seeing will probably level out after another week or two, but hopefully by then he'll be much more alert and aware.

Please give the little man another big huggin for me.

Thanks. Every day I see a little improvement. Last night he never got up and paced. He didn't seem so confused upon waking each time. Just the improvements so far have been great. If we only see a slight improvement more he is doing much better and so do I.
