| Please help, those who can :-( My friend and I went to the South Florida Pet Expo. Of course I wanted to take home all the babies that needed homes. Especially when we came across the United Yorkie Rescue. That's when we saw her, This gorgeous, tiny yorkie girl. Her owners threw her down a flight of stairs abd she is Joe paralyzed wait down :-(. Anyhow, thought I would post because they're trying to raise funds for a doggy wheelchair. The site is: United Yorkie Rescue - A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Yorkshire Terrier Rescue Organization. Her story just broke my heart :-( |

| I could never understand why someone would hurt an animal. You have to be a special kind of evil, and bound for hell to do it. Thanks for raising awareness...checking out your link.

| I agree with your comments. What's amazing is how Friendly and happy she was. Not afraid of anyone. Mind you she was in someone's arms most of the time, being loved. Anything would help. She is under the Florida section. |

| OMG, I just donated! If anyone can watch that video of that poor doggie without tearing up, they're inhuman! I can't understand what kind of monsters could do such a thing to an innocent animal. It just makes me sick!

| How sad I cannot believe that someone would do that... I hope they are able to fix her legs or get her a wheel chair. I watched the video of her dragging her legs, and I'm guessing they will rub raw after a while... Poor girl.

| I can't bear to watch the video....I trust you all. How much is a doggy wheelchair anyways?? I sell both power and manual wheelchairs for humans and know those can be upward to $35K, but how much for a dog? who makes them?

| This just breaks my heart. How can anyone be so cruel??!! I will never understand how people can mistreat a helpless, defenseless animal. |

| I didn't look at the pictures. I cry too easily lately. But how can people do things like that? I don't understand at all. I'm pretty sure I could throw those humans down a flight of stairs, though. The main thing is she is safe and loved now and getting the help she needs. I remember Drew Carey had a yellow lab on his show one of the last seasons that had a doggie wheelchair. They are more like wheels with a sling for the body so they can pull themselves around with their front legs or I saw one once made for a little chihuahua with no front legs and he pushed himself along with his back legs. Both the dogs seemed to be very happy and able to get around well. I even saw a show on Animal Planet once where a man had fashioned a prosthetic leg for his adopted dog who had lost hers after being hit by a car. It strapped on much like a human prosthetic leg would. Where there is a will there is a way and animals are so adaptable when they have someone that loves them. |
