| Yorkie in the car?? Ok guys so I haven't been on in awhile, but when I have a question I just can't decide on, I know this is the best place to go! Tomorrow I am going wedding dress shopping! Yay!! Problem is, the usual people I have to let Bailee out when I am gone extended periods are all going with me, my fiance is out of town and so is my dad. I hate to leave Bailee for what would be about 6 hours, which is not something I ever do. I worry about her constantly and I would kind of like to focus on my dress tomorrow. I thought about taking her with me. The weather forecast is 65 degrees and overcast and rainy. I thought about taking her little kennel, food, water, toys, etc. and setting her up a little room in the back of my mom's SUV. Do you think this would be dangerous? I called the store and they told me I could see the parking lot from basically anywhere in the store and my mom could run out periodically and check on her. I just don't know what is best for her. I dont like leaving her at home with me 2 hours away with no one to check on her...any advice?

| I would not leave her in the car because these babies are valuable and people are idiots and they are a target to be stolen. Unfortunately there are a lot of mean people out there that do not understand that these are family members. Does your baby have a playmate who they could go visit for 6 hours. We have a friend who has several small dogs and we have an agreement that if any of them need a sitter we cover for each other. Good luck dress shopping

| 6 hours isn't too long, really. I mean, believe me, I understand -- the longest I leave Jackson alone is 6 hours maximum but I think sweet Bailey would be fine at home for the 6 hours and be a lot more comfortable than being in the back of a car.

| Just think about this...how heartbroken you would feel if she were taken from your car or how relieved you would be coming home to see that 6 hours away and you still have Bailey and she's no worse for it. When I have to be away, I put TV on for my girls (Food Network Channel) or music playing and they do just fine. In fact, they are probably happy to have a little time away from me to do their naughty acitivities without me looking over their shoulders...lol! Go enjoy the one of the most important fun days of wedding dress shopping!

| She'd probably be less anxious at home where it's safe & familiar than in the back of the SUV. Think about the traffic sounds, people pulling in & out of the parking lot, and her wondering what's going on around her, all while she's somewhere different. Play with her alot before you leave & tire her out and she'll most likely sleep the whole time. Good luck with your dress shopping. Enjoy the day...it's a memory you're creating that you'll look back on forever

| This is your day to enjoy and look for that perfect dress. I think if you were constantly worrying about her in the car or being kicked out of the stores you are just not going to enjoy this wonderful exciting day. I think she will be just fine at home. She will be safe and will probably sleep most of the time. I would just leave her in a small room unless she has full run of the house and can be trusted. Leave the radio on, lots of toys and her warm comfy bed. I think you will both have a much better day with less stress all the way around. Enjoy Your Day. I hope you find the perfect dress. And congrats!! |

| I understand how hard it is to leave her, but never, ever leave her in the car. Car windows are bashed in and yorkies are stolen in less than a minute. It isn't worth the risk to her or you.

| Please don't leave her in the car. Someone could steal her or if heaven forbid, another car hit yours, she could get hurt or run away in fear. If you leave her at home, leave her in a secure area with her goodies, etc. and put on a radio or TV so she hears sounds. She will probably nap while you're gone and be thrilled to see you when you get back!! Good luck!!!! |

| If I were you, I'd bring her in the bag or leave her at home. It's not worth the risk of her getting stolen. Have fun dress shopping!!

| I would take her along in her bag if she does well in it. Besides if they want to sell you a dress, they will tolerate her . If you aren't comfortable with taking her, confine her to an area and she will be just fine.
