| How much will my yorkie weigh? I have a 3.6lb yorkie at 8 weeks. I was told that he was 1.6 at 7 weeks. Seems he gain alot in a week. I dont mind he is 7-8 lb full grown but 10lb seem extremely large due to I have a 5lb Pomeranian. My question is how much will you think he will weigh? I was thinking if I fed him a 1/2 cup daily and alots of excercise will reduce his weight. |

| your pup will be what ever size he will be. 5-10-15 lbs all will be perfect. i have a 15 lb yorkie mix & a 6 lb yorkie. they play together very well, i think mallory the bigger pup knows oliver is smaller & plays accordingly & it's good for oliver the smaller guy to be a little tougher. i was nervous when they were younger & watched them closely & am always aware of their size difference but know now they love each other & never worry about either of them. your pups will be best of friends & i think a 10 lb yorkie is just perfect. dont worry, be happy, ha ha. enjoy your babies great they have eachother! |

| if you are worried about the playing with a bigger dog.. don't!! My Remy was so tiny when she came home, she had her 26 lb shih tuz brother wrapped around her paw withing the day!!! Bailey plays and runs with her, but at the same time he is gentle!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Please don't withhold food in an attempt to control weight in a growing pup. By doing so, you will also be withholding nutrition that is essential for brain, bone and muscle development which will have a negative impact on his over all health. Your goal should be the healthiest dog possible, what ever his natural size. Weight estimate charts are just that, estimates. You will get a better idea of his adult weight by finding out how big other pups off the dam and sire have become, as well as the size of the dam and sire and great dam and sire. My Scarlett charted out to be about 5 pounds, but evidently, I forgot to tell that to her. She weighed in at a whopping 11 pounds at the vets on Friday!

| Hi Guys, I feed my Pom acana dog food and according to the bag that's how much I suppose to feed to him. I was told 7lbs. My pom is extremely scared of larger dogs and will hide from them. My sister has a large dog whom we both use to live together. My pom would never move even if she had to go potty unless the other dog was out of her present. I just want my Pom to be comfortable as well. I also wanted her a friend around the same size. I was misleaded that he will be small until the papers were signed. Hopefully everything turns out for the best. |

| How big is your Pom? My Westie weighs a very sturdy 15 lbs and Lucy 4 lbs; they paly together just fine. By the time your pup gets too much bigger; your Pom will already be used to he and it should be fine. I will second those that advise not to put your puppy on a diet. That's just wrong and probably not effective on those pesky genetics anyway. No matter what, your dog will be beautiful and loveable.

| I agree with Ringo, by the time your Yorkie is full grown, your Pom will have bonded with him and it won't matter if he is 20 pounds.

| I never said an diet. Im not sure how much he is feed now but according to my local vet 1/2 cup is enough for him and anything more heading right towards obese at a young age. Believe it or not. My Yorkie grew up with my sister's dog very close in age and when he start getting bigger. She wanted nothing to do with him. Everyone saying my pom is moody. She is 5lbs. |

| I understand.. you love your pom and you want a new puppy but don't want your pom upset or unhappy. I think you may need to rethink this pup... if it is really important to have a STANDARD size yerk and this pup is looking to be larger. I do feel strong about not feeding the correct amount hopping the pup will not grow as much.. it will not work. The pup will be part of your home for many many years, try to make sure you have a good match. If you were wanting a tiny tiny pup because of image I would wonder, but you would be happy with the larger end of standard which is 7 lbs. Also, I understand your reasons for wanting a puppy that is not too large nor too small. No one can be 100% of a puppy's size.. but there are some guidelines and your guy will be larger than 8 lbs. I truly wish you luck, and I hope you make the best decision for your family!!!

Thank you for understanding! I just want them both to be happy and loved. I know how my pom can be. Very saddened that he is going to be bigger than what I was told :-( | |

| I agree with Lil Sis, if you don't think your pom is going to be happy with a larger Yorkie, I would not bring home this puppy. He is probably going to be at least 10 pounds full grown.
