| Tibbe Watching the Last Space Shuttle Launch! Do your Yorkies watch TV? Ever since I got him and he became domesticated(after spending his first 9 mos. in a crate he was almost feral), I found Tibbe loves watching TV. His favorite place to watch TV is on the couch pillow I use and he places his head and ears right between my face and the screen. Even a big screen in hard to see through Yorkie ears! But he is watching on the NASA channel and every time the moderator's voice over comes on, he alerts! This guy is making up for all the time he spent miserable and alone by now living the good life - and big screen TV is almost first on his list of "good life" toys. Do your Yorkies watch TV? |

| You know its so funny, when he was really little and I would leave him in his ex-pen when going to work, I would put it on cartoon disney or some little kids show like Clifford for him to watch while I was gone Haha my BF always laughed at me and said he doesn't know what he's watching and I would just say he's my baby so he watches cartoons!! Sigh....then my electric bill skyrocketed due to the TV being on all day everyday..

| Tibbe watches cartoons, too! His little ears just pivot and prick as he hears all those boinky sounds and it is so cute. Wonder what they are thinking when they watch TV? |

| So far Zoe doesn't watch TV (she's either sound asleep or darting around). But, my male cavalier watches all shows intently. He gets very upset if anything is out of the ordinary, even if it's an argument or even the beginning of something bad about to happen he picks up on it. Some of the things he dislike the most: horses, things that should be talking that are talking, violence, things that shouldn't doing what they're doing...hamsters driving, etc.), people with darker skin...very racist.

| Ha! Yorkies take everything so personally, don't they? Even TV. Sounds like Tibbe getting so involved in everything! Amazing little creatures. You could write a book after a while about all their ways. |

| What a wonderful person you are to have taken that baby out of such a miserable situation. I'm so happy he's found such a loving home, and with a big screen tv.

| I'm so happy he's found a happy home they sure thrive with lots of love and care. I am noting my rescue is really coming along and it will be 4 weeks tomorrow I've had her. She has no interest at all in the tv. My binky on the other hand loved tv....judge joe brown she loved his voice and if I forgot to shut off the bedroom tv that is where I'd find her right on the edge of the bed listening to him. She liked cesar millan the dog whisperer though that was a highly interactive thing and I'd have to tell her inside voices a few times...then she'd simmer to something we call silent barks..where she's still barking but its so quiet you can't hear it...lol wheel of fortune another of her favs I've not put that show on since I lost her in January since I always put that on for her. She liked a series on animal planet called escape to chimp eden the most vocal she ever got was during that show. she'd have different tones of barking from knock it off...to oh its ok poor thing barking tones. I do remember my son coming into my room once and try to take the remote when I had it playing a pre recorded maury show and she took a big fit. I'd tell her ok time for you are not the father so I can sleep I miss my binky beyond words but I am so glad my girls tossed me in the direction of taking in a rescue. My Savannah will watch videos though on my laptop I caught her all intense watching one someone posted today of their little guy doing tricks |

| How cute! You'll have to let him watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua I and II. I always have to laugh a little at Kacee, because she watches tv while she's eating. She'll take a bite and then something on tv might catch her attention and she'll just sit there staring at the tv for awhile.

| How could we ever quantify the things our dogs add to our day to day lives when we read things like this. Getting to be privileged enough just to watch all the things they do has to be so healthy for a person since it makes you feel so good. Smyrfette, I can imagine what you're going through recalling those things and thank you for sharing Binky's TV experiences. Had me laughing and crying simultaneously. Thank God you have Savannah. Though she will never take Binky's place, she'll probably very soon make her own space in your heart just as big. |

| Right now there is a Chevy commercial where the two guys are looking a the car and one of them's wife is boarding the plane. When she remotely hits the horn it will always and I mean ALWAYS set Neo and Connor both off! It is so funny that they will alert on that particular thing. They also bark at anything on tv if there is a doorbell or knock, too! |

His progress gives me hope and strength and I'm bound and determined that with lots of love and a gentle touch she'll be happy. She wasn't almost feral but very timid and is still afraid but after 4 weeks (today) she's coming around. I'm going to do a post on her progress later today. Binky was a special dog sent to me from my guardian angel for sure and she'll always have a space in my heart. Savannah has got me owned already and has my heart as well I think like children your heart always has room to love more. | |
