| Messy Zach My yorkie Zach is a total slob. I've always dreamed of having a yorkie with long flowing hair, but that's never going to happen with Zach. I have a new madan brush for him and I brush him every night, but five minutes later he's a mess again. Well he is going to the groomer on Saturday and as much as I don't want to I am going to have to cut his hair short. I'm so heartbroken over this. As soon as I give him a bath he goes out to the backyard and rolls in the mud I think. Three other dogs go out with him and he is the only one that comes back dirty. Anybody have this kind of problem with their yorkies or do I have the world's biggest yorkie slob. (I love him to pieces though). My room mate doesn't want to cut his hair short, she said she wants to cut his hair in a Westie cut but even that's too long to keep him neat. |

| I have a very dirty girl. She has the most amazing coat I have ever seen but alas she is a slob too I get her cut in a medium cut I'll post a pic, I find it really helps with the dirty business and messy stuff. Also she still looks like I had hoped. Hope this helps

I think getting the same person to groom your baby everytime is key to getting the look you want. I tell her the things I like and the things I don't. I would take a few shots of what you want AND what you don't want. Good luck!

| That's what I'm looking for. I think it looks sort of like a Westie cut. I'll give it a shot tomorrow Thanks for the photo I just made a copy of it to take to the groomer. BTW your dog is beautiful. If Zach comes out looking half as good I'll be very grateful. Now the problem is to keep it looking good. My next step is to find a cut for my baby Shih Tzu for the summer. He's too young to go out now but I have a feeling he's going to be as big a slob as his brother Zach. |

| Well I brought the photo into the groomer but Zach was so tangled she said if she tried to comb out the tangles it would really hurt him, so she had to shave him down. I was really upset when she told me but when I went to pick him up he looked so cute. I'll post some photos tomorrow. The groomer was in love with Zach and she didn't even put him in a cage after the grooming. When we went to pick him up he was sitting on the couch in the waiting room. She said she wanted to put him under her coat and steal him. She said he was the most lovable yorkie she ever handled. I know that because although Zach is a slob he is a real lover. But thanks for the photo. The groomer said that after a couple of more groomings she'll be able to give him the cut I want. |

| Ha-ha-ha! It isn't just Zach! All yorkies will find a mess to get into if there's a mess to be found!

| Remy is a slob too!! He stuck his face in a mud hole today and I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. I had just gave him a full bath, blow dry, and brush the day before. So back to the tub for the same process again! They are a mess but gotta love em!

| I sympathize, empathize and ohhhhhhh so know what you are talking about...but... I don't have this issue with my Yorkie...I do with my mini schnauzer! She's named Princess but earned the nickname Monster for oh so many reasons, yes she is white...but she literally rolls in the mud...and tries to come back n the house brown...we have coined it "she 4x4s" here. Elvis my Yorkie is the opposite he has kind of an OCD with being clean...he hates going out to go potty with her if it is raining because he know Princess will get him dirty...he even has gone so far as he hides behind me when we all go out waiting for her to race out to the yard and will potty on the patio and then run back in the house and hide until he knows I've cleaned her! I should really video it and post on here it's so funny to see how prissy Elvis is running from safety spot to safety clean spot outdoors and how Princess will purposely get him dirty! Elvis actually has a " modified schnauzer cut" because Princess gets him so dirty and he obsessively cleans himself like a cat all pouty...he even baths her constantly, oh how he tries, poor guy. | Leyla goes to work with me and comes home salty, frizzy and full of scales, chum & bait. We run off shore fishing charters in the keys. Love is picking ballyhoo scales from her fur and brushing her out before I even get to take a shower. She gets about 2 and sometimes 3 baths a week when we are really busy. |

| No your little one is NOT the only slob. My Elsa will find ANYTHING to get into. When she eats it's all over the floor and God forbid a mud puddle outside, she will walk right through it instead of going around. She loves to dig for moles(and catches them!, they sure are ugly) and is one very investigative dog. Baths are usually 1 time a week(I say usually loosely..LOL) |

| Well I finally got Zach to pose for one picture. He is like a whirlwind. You can't keep him in one spot for too long. I had to show his new hair cut because I don't know how long he will keep looking like this. |
