| Key West So my sister is in Key West right now and she keeps calling me to tell me to go to various web cams where they are currently. They are at happy hour right now at the Schooner Wharf. I tell her what drunks I think they are when she holds up her beer to the camera and then notice a little Jack Russell that someone at the end of the bar is loving on. Schooner Wharf Webcam - Key West webcam on the Key West Bight I call my sis and she tells me that Key West passed an ordinance allowing dogs at many of the establishments. This is something I am going to have to check out. Has anyone vacationed down there with their dogs? What are some good vacation spots people have been to with their dogs?

| We just love Key West and people certainly have a different outlook there. Never been with a pet though. Bet your sister is having a blast.

| pet friendly Hi We visited Key West for a long week end a few months ago (from miami ) and we took Remy (the bigger ones stayed with a friend). We stayed at a pet friendly B&B, took her almost everywhere with us. One night we went out to dinner and left her at the B&B - I felt like a mommy leaving her baby --but she was fine. I found many places in the Keys are Pet Friendly. Enjoy your tirp!!

| Telluride Ski resort is very DOG friendly. They have bowls of water outside and a hitching post to tie your dog up to NOW, the thing is I've never seen anyone else there w/ a Yorkie. Of course we go in winter so they all keep ALL the YORKIES inside and bring out the BIG DOGS!! LOL AND FOR THE RECORD..NO, I don't tie mine up, they go in everywhere w/ me in the front of my jacket

| We love the Keys as well, but have never gone with the girls! The next time we go, we are going to take them. It would be too hot for them to hang out outside during the summer months though. We usually stay in one of the middle Keys and go to all sorts of places. The Keys are a different world and lots of pets hang out, in and around Duval Street. Tons of chickens running around!!!! |

| Last year my daughter, grand daughter, her 2 French Bulldogs a I spent 3 days at a B&B in KW. We had been in Delray Beach and drove down-it's something you have to do once-long but beautiful drive. We had a fantastic time and ate outside most of the time. The only time people even looked annoyed about the dogs was when we went into a Starbucks, but other wise we had them with us most of the time. There is even a beach called Dog Beach. If you go don't miss Mallory Sq. at sunset. We spent a lot of time wandering around. p.s. we drank our share! Yes, chickens, they woke us every morning-no I guess it was roosters and also 6 toed cats.

| I am in Keys now until April. We have been coming here since 98. It is a very dog friendly place. You could take your fur baby anywhere here and not have to worry. I remember when we were first here in 98 we went to a local tiki bar and sat down to order a drink and I was told to move over one stool as gigi was coming and that was her stool. Gigi was a jack russel and she and her owner came every day for happy hour. Sure enough they arrived, Gigi sat on the stool at the bar and the bartender then sat a bowl of water on the bar for her. It is a little different here now. A woman tripped over a dog at Turtle Crawls and sued, she won. Now you have to have your dog leashed. There are some establishments that don't allow dogs if they serve food. It is up to the establishment. We went into Key West last week for the night at a BB. Bella went to a wine bar on Duval and was such a good girl. We also went this week to Geiger Key and Hurricane Hole. They loved her. Treats behind the bar and water bowls are offered when you order a drink. We love it here because we can bring her almost everywhere. We grocery shop with her and shop at all the stores. Nobody says anything. If you want a place to vacation and bring your furbaby the Keys is the place to go. |
