| Good low calorie dog food?? Ever since I had Tinker Belle spayed, she is putting on weight. She is a year old. She went from 5 lbs to 6 lbs in about a month. She is not very active right now because of the weather and I don't want her to get too fat. I feed her twice a day and monitor how much she eats, but she seems to be hungry all the time. She runs to her empty bowl and gives me that look like "feed me please". I am currently feeding Taste of the Wild. Does anyone know of a good low calorie food that doesn't cost a fortune. I currently pay $25 for a 15 lb bag of Taste of the Wild. Thank you!

| A few of the TOTW foods are pretty low-cal. The Sierra Mountain formula is only about 25% protein and around 330kcal/cup. If you wanted to stick with TOTW. Natural Balance has a few limited ingredient/lower calorie foods, too.

| Wow, I didn't realize TOTW had a lower calorie food. I will definitely try the Sierra Mountain as I would like to stick to TOTW if I can. Thanks so much for the information!

| I feed Uni Honest Kitchen. The Verve only has 7% fat and 21% protein. 440 cal per cup. Preference (where you have to add your own low fat meat, I add chicken breast) is 5% fat, 7% protein(before you add your own) and 398 cal per cup. She has become a little piggy after she got spayed too. She always wants to eat. She has LP so i have to be sure that she doesn't gain weight too.
