| Going to look at a female Thursday! I called a breeder from the paper and she had some puppies, but then also had a female. She is 4 yo. The reason she is selling her is because she had to have a csection last littler, and doens't want to breed her anymore. (we are not looking to breed) Her name is Lilly, she is about 6lbs, golden tan/silver in color. They only want $300 for her. She is about 80% house trained she said..but a very "clean" puppy! Im trying not to get my hopes up here...im going to drive there on Thursday (about an hour away) and take a look at her! keep your fingers crossed (that and that I can convince hubby its worht the $!) |

| Thanks! Rhonda- if you could find out about price, that would be great! Also, the woman has her dogs "debarked"> she only make a small sounding bark..not shrill or real loud..but enough to let you know when something is up, or someone is at the door, etc...... |

| I think debarking is inhumane. I volunteer at an animal shelter and I've seen first hand dogs who have been debarked by puppy millers and back yard breeders. Do you know HOW they debark these dogs? They ram a metal rod or pipe down their throat! But back on topic, I wish you a lot of luck and I hope you find a new puppy soon!

| Someone bought a puppy from me and I eneded up getting that yorkie back, they failed to tell me they had her de barked! They make this strange rattle when they are breathing.....you will probably feel her rattle when you hold her. Angie |

| Wow, i'll be honest, i had never really heard of debarking before. I guess it is cruel when you stop and think about it. I didn't think much of it when she mentioned it. Now Im having second thoughts? Although I doubt it will affect the dogs behavior, demeanor, etc... |

| I don't know.......when that puppy left me at over 4 months old she was very sweet, when I got her back she was crazy as hell.........I don't know if the two are connected or its just a fluke. My friend who took her is having her spayed and hopes its just something hormonal b/c she says she still has a sweet side.......All of my yorkies are very laid back, that is one I bought from a breeder who I found out was terrible so maybe she was just a product of bad breeding and nothing to do with being de barked? | a few other people on another message board I visit are saying how cruel and inhumane it is..(which i now agree with!) and are saying if she does taht to them, then what else may she do taht she does't admt to? Not sure now if i want to support someone like that and pay her? ARGH this is all so frustrating. I pray taht I can find one from a rescue, but doesn't look that way |
