| ![]() I have a question - my baby girl chewed through the crotch of my husbands PJ shorts. It is where the 2 seams come together in the bottom, and it looks worse than I think it is. It is sweat pant material, and it looks more torn than eaten. I texted our vet tech and she said to keep an eye on her for vomiting, etc. Should I take her in the morning for X-rays to be sure? This just happened a few minutes ago. She is 11 lbs...has anyone else had a situation like this with a positive outcome? Thanks in advance...I will be on for another hour or so tonight... |

| ![]() Well, if you think she ate some of the material, then you need to watch her. I really doubt she ate any of the material though. At least, typically, they don't consume things like that. They generally just chew, chew, chew!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | ![]() Yeah, I'm no expert, but if it were me I'd do pretty much what you're doing. Call the vet, find out what to watch for and then watch her closely. If she's eating and pooping normally, you should be OK. Mine shred but don't eat material. Well, not much.

| ![]() That's what I was thinking, too - it looked more shredded than chewed, and she didn't have any fabric in her teeth. These kids...gotta love them! |

| ![]() Princess, my miniature schnauzer female actually ate an entire dental rope once...honestly I couldn't find it around the house and didn't think anything of it...until she had trouble going potty...ye that was fun, in the yard with the dog on the cell with the vet...she was fine though-the issue is making sure they pass whatever and that no blockage or damage happens as it goes through their system. I just had to watch her like a hawk until she finally made it through the puppy chew eat everything phase...it was so frustrating, I had to over puppy proof, always count toys and sweep constantly she was like a goat-would eat anything! |

| ![]() Normally Yorkies chew but don't swallow what they chew. Sometimes mine eat hair and if it is too much they may vomit it. Don't forget that dogs are hunters and they are made to digest things like that without a problem. If it is too much they will vomit it. But generally they love to chew not swallow things. Maria |
