| that's it!! NO more scares for me! Im gonna customize a collar I have here to make it fit my little Tay-terror! I just took her out and of course she was a good girl, did her business but then RUNS from me when its time to come back in. I know she loves being outside but I let her play for a few mins. but then when she knows its time and that Im serious she just keeps playing chase.. and I hate it! Im so scared she is gonna just keep running and running one time and me never get her or, worse she get lost or go to the road (she has to go a ways but shes determined when she plays!). I'm not taking ANY more chances.. she will be going out on a leash/collar from now on til I can make it to Petco and get stuff that is more designed for her!

| My Lucy Would run out our front door when we would come home.. She ran out and jumped in a neighbors car (they were going out) and the next time I did not even realize she had gotten out.. my parents were dropping me off after spending the day with them and caught her. I had closed the door and was going upstairs when they knocked on the door and handed her to me. I don't even want to think about what could have happened had they not seen her.. Well, after that, we ALWAYS made sure we had a baby gate up so she could not get out.. It is always better to be safe than sorry, so LEASHES ON! Your little one can still enjoy her walk.. |

| It's much better to be safe. I would keep a leash on her too.

| I was going to tell you not to get a collar.Instead to get a Harness, but i guess you already knew that. Cat harnesses work well. I even heard of someone that used a ferret harness cause the pup was so tiny. I also got a harness at Petco but she always manage to take it off. Joy sells awesome harnesses/vest. I got one for Gucci and i love it. Her website is http://www.******************.com/index.php if you want to check them out. Shana http://tinkerbellscloset.com/browse_..._Dog_Harnesses and now Gerry(Cheweysmom) http://imapreciouspup.com/catalog/in...=index&cPath=3 sell nice harnesses also. |

I Love Thor Donating Member | I remeber the day that Thor ran away from me right across the parkinglot in front of a car (lucky he was going fast and the car slow) but it was so scary! I think that puppies hit a stage or something. Thor did stick around, and then one day he was like "yeah this is crampin' my style". That was the last day I trusted him off a leash!! I think its a good idea that you are going to keep your baby on a leash from now on! Hannah |

| I would also get a harness. I would not let them wear a collar. |

| My little Lacey came with a hamster harness, no kidding and it worked like a charm until she outgrew it. |

| Yeah, I think a harness is much safer for a small dog, too! Jenn, teaching a "come" command might be a good thing to do in your case... |
