| Potty Training! I am having a horrible time potty training Huxtyn. My lab was a breeze to potty train...not this little guy! He just goes whenever he feels like it and i have been working SO hard with him. They say that dogs don't like to pee, or do there there business where they sleep. WELL Huxtyn just really doesn't care! I have also tried several brands of potty pads and he will not go on them! help!!! |

| There are a ton of great threads on this under the training section! you should re-post there. I crate trained Stuart at night time and picked him up and placed him right on the pee pads every time he came out of the crate. I truly think crate training makes the whole process ALOT quicker...but he's 4 months old now and STILL makes the occasional mess... make sure that wherever he is sleeping/eating is small enough so that he sees the defined areas... sometimes if they haven't defined their areas then they will appear to be peeing and pooing wherever?

How old is he? Do you limit his space by using an x-pen, crate, or at least gates? I suppose what I am trying to say is that in order for people to try to help you with your situation that we need to know what you are doing now, because it obviously isn't working.

| Don't worry he will get there. But crate training did work well with my two. Try it out and don't give up. |
