| Why is his nose turning brown??? Rocco's adorable, shiny, black little nose is turning brown. Why??? I just love his little so-cute-it-looks-fake black nose so much I could chew it off his face!! Is it possible he's wearing off the pigment when he "buries" his treats in the corner of the hardwood floors? Seriously, I hear "squeak, squeak, squeak", and it's the little monkey's nose squeaking against the floor as he buries his treausures with non-existent dirt! Ok, maybe his bigger problem here is not his nose color, now that I think of it. Any input?

| Ive read on here before from a breeder that they can turn because of lack of sunlight. I quess its more common for it to happen in the winter and their nose can fade so much that its pink

| Never heard of that. I would highly doubt that it's from lack of sunlight for him, because he's outside often and sleeps in sun spots every day the sun is out. It's not very noticeable, but besides me loving his little black nose, I also want to be sure it's not a health issue. Maybe I'll call the vet.

| How old is Rosco? It could be just genetics. Their fur changes color and I assume that their nose could too. I doubt it is sunlight. Yorkies that are show dogs don't necessarily spend much time outside and they have black noses. This is just my opinion - based on my own simple brain - not any knowledge of the subject! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Roxie's nose has turned brown in the center, almost like the black was rubbed off. She never rubs it though. I wonder too what it is.

That's exactly where Rocco's has changed. It's not very noticeable right now, but seems to be getting lighter over the past month or so.

| Both Ally's and Tia's nose look the same way. I remember thinking that Ally rubbed the black off her nose too when she was younger. She was never a hide-my-toy kind of baby, but Tia is BIG TIME. Ally will turn 2 years old on New Years Eve an Tia will turn one year three weeks later. |
