| Poor Daisy. It's a good thing you took her in for the tooth so you caught the E. Coli!! What would happen if you didn't? Would there be symptoms? Wishing you and Daisy good luck and a quick road to recovery in trendy new boots |

| I'm so sorry to hear of Daisy's continuous health issues. I know that does not make her a lucky baby, but when she ended up with you as her mom, she was exceedingly lucky. That part will continue all the days of her life because I can see how much you love her and are devoted to her care. She sounds like a special little girl. I hope she gets well very quickly and that, when she does have her tooth taken care of, it goes smoothly and heals quickly, as well. Last edited by lisaly; 10-30-2010 at 02:16 AM. |

E Coli is one of the leading bacteria that can cause a UTI in dogs and cats. The UTI can happen for no reason at all. The curious part is that the clavamox for 3 weeks should have cleared it and did not so we have to see if there are any obstructions any type of mass in the bladder, kidney or abdomen that might be creating a bacteria-friendly environment. Thanks for the well wishes

Thank you. We feel the same way - we have never spared her any medical care that she needed and she has an excellent team of vets on her case. We do love her dearly and she is a good girl.
