I Will Finally Bring Home My Biewer or Biewer's. For Those Who Have Been Reading Some Of My Old Post, They Know That I Have Been Dreaming About The Day I would Finally Bring Home A Biewer. Well This Sunday I Will Travel 2 Hours To Get My Daisy. My Wife And I Have Been Thinking About Buying Two Biewer's. The Only Problem Is We Have A Two Year Old Yorkie Who Think That She Own My Wife And I . She Like Some Dogs But Not All. What I'm Asking Is What Can We Do To Help Her To Like The Biewer Or Biewer's. When We First Bought Her We Were Going To Buy Her Sister But When We Went Back To Purchase Her Some One Had Bought Her. Any Advice Would Be nice.. Thanks.

I have a 3.5 year old Yorkie boy, and in May i got a little girl. I was really worried about the new addition because my little boy is so attached, and over protective of me. When we brought Roxy home he would not go near her for over a day!!! They are truly such good friends now they sleep together, and cuddle now

I think it takes a lot of patience and showing your older girl that she is still loved. Now I dont know who Tucker is over protective of me or Roxy

It will take time but he will get use to her. I got Natlie and she is not 1 yet and Charlie is 2 years old. He did not know what to think about the bouncy little furry thing I brought home but now they are great together. I have had her for a month now and they get along fine. He was very overprotective of me but he has learned to share.

i just got a new lil pekingese a few weeks ago and i have a 13 month lil girl yorkie and a 10 year old yorkie the lady told me to let them meet outside
so when i got home i let them out and loved them as always and then got Mee Ling out of the car told them we has a new baby so far no problem
the only thing porscha thinks sometime she has a real toy that hollers

Hi and congratulations on your new baby or babies! I had Bridget (a Yorkie) about 9 months when I decided to add Greta (a Biewer) to our family. Bridget and Greta are both 1 year old within days of each other so this may be a little different. Dee and Karen (the wonderful ladies I got her from) sent her bedding (unwashed) and her pee-pads (lol - washed of course) to me a week or so before Greta's arrival. It gave Bridget a chance to get used to Greta's scent. When I did bring Greta home I introduced them outside and it went so much better than I expected. Once inside it was the same - like she had been with us forever. Bridget was also very posessive of me (even my fiance' or grandsons couldn't come near me without a growl), but this has totally changed since Greta's arrival. Bridget has no problems any longer needing my constant attention. The girls play together, sleep together and even eat together. They have their moments - like "skin-kids", and Bridget is still a little "piggy" about treats and new toys - she seems to think they should all be hers. I don't know if it's how Greta was raised, or if it's the difference between the Biewer and the Yorkie - but Greta is much more laid back and easy going than Bridget. She plays hard - but won't fight back for a toy or a treat - maybe they just set the "ground-rules" between them from the beginning - or Greta is just confident that I will be sure she gets her fair share. We also learned to give Bridget things first - greetings, her food plate gets put down first, a treat is given to her first. That was hard for me because I think of them as equal - but Bridget is the "first" and she needs to know that she is not being "replaced.
There are so many good post on here about this subject - I'm sure you'll get a lot of help - I felt like a minority with only one fur-baby until I got Greta - so many here have at least two.

I started with one Yorkie and have added two Biewers since.

The temperament of the Biewer is much more calm and gentle than the spunk of the Yorkie.

I didn't have ANY problems. None whatsoever.

Thanks, I Had Notice The Same Thing When I Went Down To See The Breeder. I Was In Love. They Are Nothing Like A Yorkie Very Calm What I like.. Her Picture Is Below My Name On the Left Side.
