this question has probably been asked before but I would like to know any opinions or personal preferences on if you had a male and wanted to get a companion/playmate, would you get another male or a female? Which would likely get along more, what could be the negatives or positives? If it were a female could they still have sex if they were fixed?

I have one of each. My female is so bossy but they do keep each other company. I kind of wish i would've got 2 boys instead. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that i don't LOVE Karlee i just think Bentley prefers boy dogs to girl dogs

We have 2 boys...Jo is 11 months old and Riley is 5 months old. Jo is neutered and Riley isn't yet but he will be (hopefully) in a couple months. We have had no marking issues and no fighting...they're best buddies and they're both lovable with us. At first I thought I wanted a girl and a boy but Riley was a surprise and now I'm glad I have my boys.

I am sooo glad that I have 2 boys!!!! They get along soo great!!!!! Luigi is 13 monthes and Brasco is 19 monthes!!!! They love to cuddle together when they sleep, they help to clean each other, and they love to play!!!! They take turns chasing each other and they love to rough house!!!! Its soo funny!!!! They love to body slam each other, but they never hurt each other!!!! But when we have them around a little girl, they cuddle with her, but they wont play woth her!!!! Its quite funny!!!! I think they know its a girl and girls must not like to rough house!!!!! Hahaha!!!! I love my boys!!!!!! They always make me laugh!!!!

I have one of both and really like it. They play with each other cuddle and follow each other around. My dogs are fixed and they dont try to hump each other.
