Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Tallulah's arrival postponed for two days... I just heard from Cindy, and she asked if we could postpone the pickup because she forgot that her mom had a doctor's appointment that day. It's actually better for me to go Thursday because I have a bad cold or the flu and have had to take most of this week off work. And it gives me a couple of extra days to get ready - I haven't had the energy to finish puppy-proofing the house. But now I have to reset the clock in my head that has been steadily ticking down the hours until I have that puppy. |

| Better rest when you can because when a new puppy comes into your home there isn't too much time for rest. I also have the flu or a bad cold and getting up in the morning to feed my crew is a real effort. The mind is willing but the body isn't able. Last edited by lexi43; 10-01-2010 at 04:39 AM. |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | I agree with lexi43 you need to rest now before you bring your pup home, because I can guarentee you will not be getting much sleep the first few days. Hope you are feeling better soon.

| Sorry you're feeling lousy . Stinks to wait longer, but I agree with previous poster - you definitely want to have your energy to care for your new little furmonster! Feel better SOON!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks, everybody. I've always like the name Tallulah since I saw an I Love Lucy episode where Tallulah Bankhead guest starred. And recently I listened to some old time radio programs that she hosted -- so it's been at the back of my mind. Woke up feeling like this cold is breaking up -- so I will be able to finish getting the house ready over the weekend AND get in a few days of work that I MUST due before I take time off for bringing her home. Sleep? I'm a very poor sleeper - wake up frequently and have trouble going back to sleep -- so I'm thinking she will be good company for me if she doesn't sleep through the night. Of course, if she sleeps well at night, I won't disturb her because I don't want her to get my bad habits. |

| I'm sorry you've been sick. Hope you're all better by the time you get to bring her to her forever home.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Sorry you've been sick. Get your rest while you can. I guarantee you'll spend the first couple of nights up just watching her (that is if she sleeps at all )

| I am the same way... up off and on all night long. My babies used to keep me company with getting up and going piddle and what now. But within the last month or so, they will actually stay in bed with my hubby Time for a new furbaby???? LOL Peggy, Monkey & Maddie
