| DH wants surgery!!! Tia went in Saturday for her spay and baby teeth (2) removed. I dropped her off just before 8:30 am and picked her up around 2 pm. When Ally had her surgery, she was kept overnight. Tia came home the same day. What a difference! I'm not sure which is better. On the one hand, you don't want your baby to be away from you for a night and being couped up in a kennel all that time. (When Ally was brought home, it was almost like nothing happened.) On the other hand, I didn't like seeing Tia so helpless with same-day surgery. I've been sitting with her since she came home. Every time I moved Saturday, her little groggy eyes opened and she tried sooooo hard to get up to follow me, but couldn't. I had to have my husband watch her just so I could potty. My husband is so jealous, he says he wants surgery so I'll love him that much. lol Okay, if he gets surgery, I'll hire him a male nurse. I'll be too busy with my babies and I don't want him to get too excited with a female nurse! I took her out at six pm to potty and did her business and dropped to the ground. Mommy picked her up and brought her back inside. Sunday, she seemed her normal self, but groaned a little. Her and Ally wanted to play so bad, I found it difficult to keep them apart. When Tia came home, Ally kept bringing her toys so they could play! How sad! Well, I want to thank YT and a couple of members. One for suggesting another vet that was just as good as my old vet and had a lower spay bill and the other for suggesting a onsie after surgery. Boy did the onsie help. Tia is a licker and she cannot get to her scar with her little outfit on. Thanks a bunch! Really appreciated. Pictures below is Tia Saturday, Sunday, and this morning. |

| I am so glad that Tia's spay went fine. It is always worrying when our babies are having surgery whether it is routine or not. Spaying - and neutering - affects different dogs different ways. Some need a little more attention after, some just sail right through it. Lil Bit was spayed and had a bladder stone removed at the same time several years ago, surgery in the morning, and by 2pm the vet's office was calling us to ask us to please pick her up (wasn't supposed to pick her up until around 4). Lil Bit was barking up a storm, wanting to come home. They nicknamed her "the mouth of the south". Bruce went and picked her up and she was fine, wouldn't have believed she had just had a bladder stone removed and been spayed. So glad you like the vet The pics are so cute. She is a little doll.

| Thanks! I went the wrong way getting there, but found it much easier getting back. That place was packed. I saved over $400 and they seemed really nice. If only I could keep Tia from being so active and full of herself! |

| I'm so glad Tia is doing so well. Hope she is soon back to her old self and can play to her heart's content. BTW, she is precious!

| They are always packed. They just opened that new place, the place they used to be was just too small. They are very nice there, we wouldn't take Lil Bit or Beamer anywhere else.

| Your little Tia is precious! So glad her spay went well. I got a giggle out of your Dh story. I often wish I got just a fraction of the attention my dh gives our dogs, LOL, but then again, I am fortunate he loves them so much too. Otherwise, he'd have to go!

| Thanks everyone. DH loves them to death also, but wants them to attach to him like they've done with me. They will not go outside with him, unless I'm not home or I go out with them. They love giving him puppy kisses and fight over who greets him at the door. They still prefer to sleep beside me and follow me around. DH wants soooo bad to have my two little shadows...but can't have them!!!!!! He knows they can do no wrong! |

| This is Tia's first day without her pain meds. I only gave them to her yesterday to calm her down because she was so active. I don't think it worked though. I did try to keep her and Ally from wrestling. Tia is acting very tired, sleepy, and clingly (more than usual). Do you think it is hormonal or she is in pain? |

| Glad things are going well, and I'm all about bringing the babys home the same day...I think they heal faster, if they are being spoiled, spoiled, spoiled, while they are recuperating...Ally must be such a sweet pup to bring her sis toys...That's one of those awwwwwwww things...Tia is, absolutely, beyond beautiful!!!! |

| Shouldn't be hormonal as she just went through a spay. I would give her the pain meds, I think mine had enough for four days and I gave them to them for the four days. JMO.

| I had enough for two days. She acted normal while she was on the meds, then today she just changed with no pain meds. I gave her one of Ally's about an hour ago and now she seems fine. I think it's pain. |

| Ally is such a cutie! Glad to hear she is recovering well from her surgery. I am taking my little yorkie "Princess" and my pomeranian "Ty" in to our vet for their surgeries this Friday. I am already nervous and worried about them. Our vet will keep both overnight. I could have brought Ty home Friday afternoon, but since Princess will still be there overnight they told me I could leave Ty there also. I love the idea of the onesie. Did you cut a hole in the back of the onesie for their tail or just leave on snap undone? I bought a onesie for Ty last weekend but still have not found one small enough for Princess. I am not sure what I will do for her, if I can't find a onesie small enough for her. I see you live in Palm Bay, FL. I used to live in Sebastian for many years. My 2 youngest children were born at the Hospital in Sebastian. In fact my son was the FIRST New Years Day baby born in 1986! We made the headlines and had our photo in 3 of the local newspapers. I really do miss living in Florida.... Especially in the winter months! |

| We love Florida. For the onsie, I cut a hole for the tail. I just unsnap them to take her outside potty. I put a 0-3 months on Tia (4 lbs 2 oz) and it was a little too big so I altered it a little. I purchased a newborn one too and it fits Ally (3 lbs 2 oz) perfectly. I'm going to use them for pj's during the winter. I have the regular pj's, but Ally seemed to come out of them each time I put them on her this last winter. |

| Glad that Tia is doing well. It is always nerve wracking to go thru any surgeries.
