| Fun thread How did you decide on your Baby's or Babies Name? Daisy is named after a train on Thomas the train. My 5 year old daughter named her. Hannah and her best friend Ollie both got yorkies as their wish though the children's wish foundation. Ollie's puppy is named Rosie after the train from Thomas. |

| It's kind of funny how we named our little one. We wanted to name her something that we had never heard on a child. So, we took one of our baby books and went through names! We really like Gabby, but my 4 year old has a friend named Gabby. We started saying Gabrielle and somehow got Bri. I have to say, now that we're having an actual baby our #3, I'm having the HARDEST time picking a name! Now I see dogs on here that have names we liked HA!!

| Jackson originally came about after watching Walk the Line about Johnny Cash. He has a song called "Jackson" and my mom suggested it since we loved that song from the movie, lol. I thought it was soo catchy. But then I'm also a Michael Jackson fan, so it ended up fitting!

| Zekie got his name from the bible. The people we bought him from have biblical names for all their Yorkies, so I looked through the bible for a male name that I could pronounce, and came up with Ezekiel. |

| Duke- he was the largest in the litter and the breeder's husband called him Bear, but I didn't like that, so Duke (like from a king's court) just stuck. Jax- I told my boyfriend if he would let me get a cat, he could name it. So I got the cat and he named him after a bottle of cleaning detergent named Jax Piper- I looked over many lists of names and it came down to Piper and Sage...Piper just stuck when I saw her. My parent's cat that I name is called LILY. I got it for my mom for Mother's day and it stands for Lori, I Love You. I didn't like the name MILY, so I couldn't use mom, instead used her name. |

| Well, we decided to name our maltese/shih tzu Max because of my granddaughter and then our yorkie came along and Ruby was just natural. (for those of you who don't know, Max and Ruby is a children's show)

| I had a pretty good list of names before I named Sophie. So I put them on the board at school and my classes voted....(I think I would have chosen Sophie even if it didn't win ) I never could come up with a middle name, so her name on her registration ended up being La Belle Sophia (The Beautiful Sophia - in French). Love my Sophie!!!

| My husband and I decided even before we got the dog that he had to have an ITALIAN name LoL The main reason was because the majority of the people in my family are Italian..and really butcher any name that isnt Italian. For instance, my husband's name is Ed...they call him "Head" LOL So we decided on a VERY Italian name..Pasquale....Glad to say, noone in my family has butchered him name yet lol Very easy for them to say!

| had to be something really Scottish I was gonna go with the name of an island. My mum's last name is McTigue (McTeeg). Their nicknames as kids were the Tiguees. So I asked dad and he said it was a great name and we have Teegy. |

| Gracie's name came about because the name I wanted (Lolly) got vetoed by hubby and son. I had thrown out Gracie as an alternative and days before we were even sure we would get her they brought home a little pink doggie shirt, a pink collar, and a rhinestone "G" --- what else could I do? Carly came about from my son and daughter liking the tv show, "ICarly" - I wanted "Harlow" but all vetoed that one too. In a fluke I ended up meeting the owner of "Harley" who turned out, we found after puppy discussion, was Carly's brother (small world)...would have been weirder if we had in fact of named Carly "Harlow" So since we're getting another soon...I told them this time I'm naming her. I still lean toward Harlow, but when you call it out like, "Here, Harlow" it doesn't sound right and Lolly flows. Anyone who wants to suggest some names for our new one feel free to let me know as I can't think of any other ones. Stuck on the Harlow or Lolly. Would consider something different. Kendra |

| I was going back and forth from Chloe to Zoe. Niece wanted Chloe, daughter wanted Zoe...since Zoe was my grandma's name I went with that.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I apologize if someone has read this post on Taycie's name before.. I know I have posted her story before... I named Taycie after a childhood favorite book called Betsy~Tacy. Its about two little girls who become best friends and the series goes all the way until Besty gets married! My grandmother and mom loved them so much so of course when I was 10 I recieved my first copy! I remember Tacy being my "favorite" and those books have always had a special place in my heart. I knew the MINUTE I picked her up her name would be Taycie... I did modify the spelling slightly only because that's what moms do!... But her name fits her and she is a doll! |

| We got Couver and had no idea what we were going to name him. One night, we were hanging out with some friends and they brought up the fact that my DH is from Vancouver, B.C. (but we live in WA) and that we should call him 'Couver' short for Vancouver. I liked it and thought it was unique, but would be easy for people to say so it stuck! Before we got Khloe we searched for cute city names and could not think of any that meant anything to us... so we decided to go with a cutsey name and spell it a little differently. We decided on Khloe Mae after talking about it for days.
