Nikki and I went to see Carol today and as soon as we left it started to pour rain, but we carried on! I picked up Burger King for Carol's lunch and 2 drinks. I had so much to carry in besides Nikki and I didn't want to make 2 trips as I had to park a ways away from the door, so I had bought this cool carryall when I was in Az last week and it said it could carry 44 lbs. So I out everything in it including Nikki. He was so good he just laid back in it. The rain cleared before we left so we got to sit outside for a bit which was nice. Then on the way home, to avoid the horrible construction on the street the nursing home's on I went a different way. Wow did we get lost! I think in the last picture Nikki is saying are we home yet?!! I hope you enjoy the pics even though they look pretty much the same every time we go. I just love seeing how happy Carol is with Nikki.

Patti, I'm so glad you share these visits with us. The love between Nikki and his mom is so obvious, I can't help but enjoy seeing pics of them together. Thank you!

I never tire of hearing your stories of Nikki and his mom. I just love it. I would hope someone would do the same thing for me one day, if I ever ended up like that. You are awesome Patti!

This is the first "Carol & Nikki" thread I've seen...and I don't know the story but, the pictures tell it all...it's about the love of a beloved pet & his person! How sweet is that that you have been able to keep the continuity going for both of them...Patty you are their

Thanks I get so much from our visits too. Carol wasn't sure if Nikki was microchipped. so I took him in today to my vet when I had to pick up Cali's medicine on the way home and they checked the records we had gotten from Carol's vets and he is chipped. His name was Fabio before Carol changed it. He so looks like Fabio!

I have had a HORRIBLE day. The kind of day that makes you wonder why you follow the rules and try to do the right thing when it seems like the people who break them and lie and cheat always win.

Then I see this thread and I'm reminded of all the good in the world. Truly you are angel. Doing this for Nikki and his mom for no other reason than they need you and it is a good and kind thing. Thank you from me- you made my day better too!
