No Longer a Member | Ummm...do you know the person at Petsmart that'll be grooming her? You should definatly try to find a different groomer. There are a TON of horror stories about people taking their pups to Petsmart for grooming. Just do a forum search and you'll see them...and since that was the case, you really really really shouldn't take her there without all of her vaccinations. That is the kind of place I may go to if I had just picked up a pound dog and he needed a quick wash before taking him home so I don't have to worry about tossing him/her into a tub the moment we got home. Just a thought... |

No Longer a Member | ah, meant to say that it is a must for all yorkies to have them brushed daily, not just the puppies. But it definatly seemed like Rizzo's fur tangled a whole lot easier when he was just a puppy. Try feeding her treats as you are brushing her to associate the brush with something delicious. Try to make it a treat she only gets at grooming times so when she sees you pulling out that specific treat she knows what time it is and should sit patiently for you while you do your work on her fur. Good luck! |

No Longer a Member | Unfortunatly no, mine are set up the way you described yours. Got the sticker from the vaccination and the date it was administered, and if there was a follow up due it would be written off to the side of the shot with the date due for the next one. I can't tell if hers is what all was given, or what?? Sorry, but eventually someone will know, or have experience with the US forms I hope. |

| From what I can see... she has only had 1 set of shots and thats Distemper Parvo DAPP on the 28th of July... she still has 2 more set to get with the last one being her rabbies...I would not take her outside or to any public place at all until she has them all....Good luck with your new baby

The vet told me I could take my 10 week old puppy out too who only had one set of shots. He had recieved the first shots at 8 weeks. He died at 10 weeks old! He made out fine and healthy at the vets and at 10 weeks old we woke up and he was just dead! he was a shihtzu puppy. I called the vet and he said he must of had a genetic disease or something we didn't know about. Now Im beginning to think maybe he caught something because I had brought him out for a walk to the park. Vets are just ignorant sometimes, don't take a chance! | |

In England our dogs only have 2 sets of shots, after the first shot they can go in your garden aslong as its fenced in and no other stray dogs can get in. Then I was told to wait a week after her last shot to take her for a walk. There are some really terrible vets around, some are money hungry and clueless.. Im sorry you had to go through that.

| Congratulations on the new puppy!! Our vet told us not to take our puppies around any other dogs until they had all of their puppy shots. I wouldn't take a chance on her picking up something from another dog if it were me. Looking forward to hearing all about little Hazel and seeing pics. I hope you will let us know how the other puppy is doing too.
