| Female won't poop in yard I have two yorkies, one male one female. They are 6 months old. When I first got them, I did not have a fenced yard so I took them to the garage to pee and poop or in the neighbors yard. I now have a fence and they will both pee in the yard, well she will pee on the porch or on the walkway. He will poop in the yard, but she will not. About once a week she will poop on the porch, but she will hold it until I take her to the front yard or go in the dining room. Any thoughts? Does she hate my backyard? Thanks for the help! |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Wow your neighbor sounds very laid back to let your dogs poop in his yard lol! Maybe she is just getting used to going in the yard, I know that pee pads are scented which makes the pup want to go on them and I have seen that you can get this in a spray bottle too. Maybe you could try spraying a section of the grass with it and letting her sniff? might help

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Try taking some of her poop out into the yard & leave it for a couple days. It may help to connect the dots for her. If she poops on the pee pads, gradually move the pad to outdoors. Roxy was kinda like that too till I took her to day care the second time. Something connected for her there that I wasn't getting through to her at home. Maybe some play dates with other dogs may help if you have friend/family with dogs. Good luck. Welcome to YT!
