Hairy chest & tummy We have a few Yorkies in our family but my Sophie is the only one with a thickly hairy chest and her belly has a black hairy line up to her chest from her wee wee. Not very lady like, I might add. Nor exactly the type of belly to give kisses to. Anybody else have a hairy gorilla child?

| When you start taking her to the groomer they will shave that area and it will be kissable

Ha My Sophie is 10mos. old and I thought it would thin out but not so far. I call her gorilla girl sometimes. Should it be shaved off? I would hate to give her a shave but gee it is pretty thick and "manly" for a little girl.

Since Sophie's a little girl, I wouldn't worry about shaving it off. It doesn't get wet when she pees, right? My Bullet (5 month old boy) is very hairy on his chest and it is hair right in front of his little wee wee, so the groomer did shave about 1 1/2 inches from his belly. He doesn't lift his leg to pee yet. Now when I pick him up after a pee, his chest isn't wet!

maybe you should have called her Fred hahahaha leave her alone, their coats change after some time anyway, if you shave her it will grow in thicker, isn't that the myth
