| Giardia It can be given to other dogs, if you have any. My puppy had it when I adopted her on Easter (8 oz, 10 wk old yorkie) and she gave it to my two other dogs. Giardia can stay in the ground for two months. I was told to pick up the poop immediately (even in the dark) and pour bleach-water over it to kill it. I still have a flashlight on my back porch for nightly or early morning potties and my grass still looks spotty from the bleach. Wash the puppies butt to make sure it is not lingering back there. My puppy did not get rid of it easy either. She had to have a second dose of medication. My other two just expoded in their kennels in the middle of the night (both ends). Very sick and it wasn't pretty. You should look it up on the web. I was very mad when I saw all the info and worked hard to keep it in control. Good luck and I hope your baby gets better soon. |
