| House Training I have had a 2 1/2 year old Yorkie for about 6 months, and she's been going potty in the house on the rug. So for the last 4 days, I've been seriously using the kennel training method. She sleeps in the kennel, and in the morning I take her outside and she hides in the bushes and won't go. She holds her urine and poop for 24 hours. I swear I don't see how she can do this. When she does go (in the evenings) I praise and praise her. I've been getting her out of the kennel every 2 hours during the day, and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I know Yorkies are supposed to be hard to train, but I would appreciate any tips from those more experienced than me. This is my first Yorkie (I've had miniature schnauzers and have used the kennel method to great success with them). |
