| Growing, Growing, Growing :) How old were your fur babies when they stopped growing/gaining weight? My little porker put on a pound in a month She was 2.7 lbs at 16 weeks now she is 3.10! Momma must be feeding her well lol . Just wanted to get an estimate about when to expect her to stop growing! Also, she is getting spayed sometime in July or early August. The vet said she still hasnt lost some of her baby teeth and I read on here that is common and they pull them during the spaying. Any advice for pre and post surgery???

| Miri-how many months did you hear the growing stops? Has any one else heard about growing or when it stops or slows?

| depending on the lines they usually stop growing anywhere from 7-18 months... but you can get a good idea of the size they will be at arround 6 month imo... every dog is different and just like people they tend to grow at their own rate. One of mine had his last growth spurt at 15 months and the other hasnt gained a whole ounce since she was about 7-8 months...

| Zoe is almost 13 weeks and she weighs 3.4 lbs. She was completely weaned before 6 weeks...which is when I got her. Last month she gained a full pound too. The breeder had her on puppy chow and since corn is the first ingredient I think that is what makes her gain so quickly because she doesn't eat much...mostly about 1/4 cup daily...no table food. I think they mainly stop growing at around 7 months.

| Thanks for asking this question because I've been wondering the same thing. My girls are 6 1/2 months and still only weigh 3 lbs. but they are very healthy furbabies. Their big and older brother who is about 15 months old weighs 5 1/2 lbs. But, I don't think the girls will get that big or be as tall. Right now they come up to the bottom of his belly.
