I just thought since we have a lot of new members that i should remind people NOT to buy HARTZ products.... there have been several instances where they cause harm and some people say they are "poison".... anyways, i just thought i would share, there is even a website for the 'victims' of hartz products

As a side story: i told my fiance to go see if walmart has any flea stuff for kitty's (and i told him absolutly NO hartz) and then he comes back and says wal mart wants to kill our cat, i looked at him like he was nuts and he took me back and there were NO products OTHER THAN HARTZ on the shelves

I was shocked, they must have some sort of contract with hartz? huh ?

yep I heard on the news awhile back that some got recalled. and my daughter went to wallmart to buy her cat flea stuff and found lots of Hartz products. she did find one other and got it.

Good post. Hartz sucks and so does Wal-mart! Target carries stuff that's not Hartz that's just as inexpensive.

One of my friends almost lost her cat with hartz products . It cost her very much to have him healthy again .

WOW! I must have missed those threads. We don't buy Hartz stuff but it's good to know! Thanks for reposting this!

I've heard not to use Hartz before, and I do not use it, but I was curious as to what chemical(s) were in question so I did some research. Here's the EPA's site for more information on chemicals, recalls, and dates the recalls are to be activated

I haven't bought Hartz stuff for many years, because I saw on some TV show that they sterilize the bird seed they sell, which takes all the nutrients out of it. Birds were getting sickly from eating their seeds. Like I say, that report was many years ago...now seeing this, sure doesn't seem they've made much of any improvements with their products!
